RC, 29 Apr 2010What does multi touch support mean? I am a business woman ... moreYour older Pro 2 used a resistive screen (detects any PRESSER being put on the screen by anything.)
The HD2 uses a capacitive screen (only detects the minuet ELECTRICAL PULSE from living things)
Your nails are dead bone or may not even be yours.
These are 6 (not all) options you can try.....

1. Cut one nail

2. Don’t try to use the tip of your finger use the fleshy part (you know the part they take your finger print from.) the keys on this screen is big enough.

3. Use side of thumb.

4. Use knuckle on index finger

6. Send back the phone and get and older phone that is still using resistive screen. Stay away from any phone that says it has a capacitive screen, if you like using your nails on them.

        What does multi touch support mean? I am a business woman with nails and can not send sms's? Due to the touch of the letters only reacting on the touch of a finger tip? Otherwise it is a fantastic phone - this is my second HTC (last one was HTC touch pro, just very dissapointed with the sms thing, will have to take it back- or is there another option?

          Raj, 29 Apr 2010Hi Anthony, Here i am in Bangladesh.Today i bought a HD... moreFist thing, seeing that you are not a t-mobile customer. You should take off there crappy ROM.
          Put on the HTC 1.66 ROM, it is a much better ROM
          for your country I can see in the internal database the auto setup for AKTEL, Banglalink, Grameenphone, Teletalk & WARID. So if you are with one of them, after the rom change the phone will set it self up.
          You will have to do a small hack to put the rom on, are you up to it?

            Hi Anthony,

            Here i am in Bangladesh.Today i bought a HD2 from a local shop.when i turn on the phone and its show T-Mobile logo(BTW no T-Mobile in Bangladesh). I can easily setup the wifi connection in my office, but i cant setup the EDGE connection. i found only option with T-Mobile.
            Manila version:2.5.19202525.0
            The ROM version: 1.43.110.2(70315) WWE
            Radio Version: 2.04.50.22_2

            Please Anthony, help me. how can i setup the internet connection, with our local Mobile operator EGDE service.

              Maghraby, 29 Apr 2010i need to ask you guys somehitng i have the HD2 for almost ... moreHi Maghraby, its actually a bug on that rom, there is a hotfix for it, but i would recommend upgrading your rom to 1.66 as this fixed alot of bugs on the older roms.Checkout the HTC Site

                i need to ask you guys somehitng i have the HD2 for almost two weeks now with 1.48 rom i used to send sms with no problems suddenly when i send an e-mail it goes to outbox and stays there unsent
                i was wondering is that a bug in the 1.48 rom or did i change some of the settings by mistake
                appreciate your help and thanks in advance

                        My question to GSMARENA ?

                        i m regularly surfing GSMARENA web sight

                        HD2 was top of the list till 4-5 days back now suddenly it is not there on list & few items not there on list l was came in the list

                        i think GSMARENA is manupulating the system of ranking by the who is paying more to GSMARENA or who is giving more to them on advertising & etc..

                        otherwise i still personally feel that HD2 is best phone we have except Brouser support flash is weak which was correctly mention by GSMARENA

                        rest all function are Good can be a still leader in Mobile world since it has a faster processor with Big Screen , which i suppose no body have.

                        GSMARENA kindly give people correct ranking by mobile function & software update & not by who is paying more to you.

                            Maybe your former phone was not a smartphone (phone with operating system; windows, symbian, etc.)

                              on this phone my location is under the big clock (unless you did a mod)

                                You can choose between (long tones, short tones & Off)

                                    Great phone, shame about no WM7 but it does lack the necessary 3D chip.

                                    To get the best out of this phone you need to use custom ROMs, performance of my original ROM was sluggish.

                                    Flash is also available thanks to the leak of Flash Lite 3, for Flash 9/10 use Skyfire browser.

                                    One irritating issue which is either inherant to WM6.X or mobiles in general is the poor performance of WiFi which means you won't acheive speeds over 4Mb.
