I think it was cookie 1.5 use to give me that error but I liked cookie so much I just turned off error reporting.
Did not get any error message with 1.6.1 or the now 1.7 (i have error erporting on once again)
I find “MM TaskManager” to be much better. you should give it a try. I use “Touch X longpress sendkey Alt tab” as a task switcher because it is fast but “MM Taskmanager” can do task switching as well.

BEWARE Virus!! Guys Do not install this app in your devices!!! “3D Anti-Terrorist” it seems to install some sort of malware in the device that acts like a dialer trojan for PC. read this

great device expensive look... nice advance on software mainly smooth os in new york. needs help in camera hardware!! would love if htc could set up a meeting with mr. Carl Zeiss n hook up a relationship with a zoom option or advance camera feature not yet seen before. video needs some juice too. pics are nice but if htc builds a premium phone their gonna need to up their game. (i am a former Nokia fan!) please get this to happen make us happy!!

So i did hard reset and carefully installed only necessary apps. I still have not installed new version of cookies home tab & htc task mger. I'm still using old version. After reset, it worked without this error for 3 weeks.....and now suddenly getting this error. I have not installed any other 3rd party apps after this hard reset as i also wanted to know which apps is giving me trouble.

I recently did hard reset for this reason and got rid of it. From yesterday...i'm getting this error again.
I like this phone. Its very fast and capable of doing lots of things. But it really frustrates me with "Freezing screen" & all of sudden...certain programs(eg..task x mger, longpress sendkey etc)do not work. So i have to restart or remove very often. Yesterday i was walking in the st and had to make emergency call...i pulled out my hd2 and found out screen frozen. Non of physical buttons nor any touch getting any response.
This is my gripe about this phone. I think it is sowftware(wm). This is my first touch phone and I'm slowly losing my confidence on touch screen. I am eying on blackberry 9700.

You seem to be the man to ask so I was wondering... moreThat sms load lag you are taking about is a known problem in ROMs older than 1.66 and was fixed in 1.66 and higher ROMs
You have 3 options. (List from best option - lazy man way out.)
1. update your ROM to 1.66
2. install sms patch from HTC dated 2010-01-24
3. When you have to write a new sms, use the new sms icon that is on messages tab (don’t tap on and existing message) that way you can write a sms without old messages having to load.

jhon, 15 Apr 2010i am afraid.. I dont know wat to do.. I am an omnia high de... moreI used to own the i8910 HD for several months, and have since owned the Iphone 3GS, The Blackberry 9700 and currently own the HTC HD2.
Of all these phones, the HD2 wins hands down! I really liked the i8910 HD as a concept, but just found that there was very little support from Samsung, and the firmware was really bad. In addition, it seemed a little pointless to me having a phone capable of filming in High Definition, but with no HD output!
I liked the 3gs alot, but i felt it had no character and the screen quality was really bad. I also found the on screen keyboard really hard to use and found this really frustrating.
Now although the i8910 HD has a nice camera, HD video and AMOLED screen, the HD 2 beats in hands down in every other department. The 1ghz cpu coupled with the large amount of RAM makes it a real beast! The screen is also fantastic, and for media and internet browzing I believe it is the best phone on the market. As for Windows mobile, 6.5 is really quite nice but with the HTC interface, you will hardly ever see windows. I was really tempted to get an Android phone but I just feel Android is a little unrefined and not so easy on the eye.
What I look for in a phone is real character, and the HD2 has bags of it! The build quality is also a mile better than anything else on the market. Furthermore, If it helps sway you, the HD2 is worth alot more that the i8910, so the re-sale value will be alot higher when you eventually sell it on Ebay!

i am afraid.. I dont know wat to do.. I am an omnia high definitiom user.. Its my best phone.. Ofcourse i hav used iphone and sell it buy buy a better one.. The high definition..
Now i really like htc hd2.. Whenever i go to phone store my it catches my eye.. Wat to do?? I know its features r not as good as omnia hd because of ami.ed and hd and 8 mp.. But still i want to buy this..
Know those who hav used omnia hd and hd2 also.. Plz let me know is it worth to but hd2 over hd... Plz.. I am waiting and in this case i am dependent in u...

Robert, 15 Apr 2010Is the call quality and volume good from the earpiece speak... moreI find the sound quality and volume to be quite excellent! Speech is really clear and volume can be adjusted without compromising sound quality.
My HTC is off being repaired at the minute because of a dead pixel and so I am having to use an older phone. The difference in quality is immense!

You seem to be the man to ask so I was wondering if you would kindly help me out with a quick question?
I am finding that when I write a text message, there is a lag as the phone loads up all previous messages in the current conversation. Also after the full conversation with the recipient has been loaded, the curser jumps out of the text box and highlights the last message in the conversation. This is really annoying as if you start typing a message there is bad lag, but then i have to press back into the text box to be able to see what I am typing.
I know you can disable threaded text, but even so whenever you write a text message to someone all the previous messages from the conversation are still visible, and thus need to be loaded.
I would really appreciate your assistance.

Is the call quality and volume good from the earpiece speaker when on a call? (Not the loudspeaker).
