If you are using the internet and your hand is covering the plastic portion below the batter cover the phone will get hot fast because that is where the antenna is and your hand is making it burn more power to work. But it is normal to get a temperature increase.

Just checked my phone and the ROM version is:
1.43.405.1 (70124) WWE
I went to the HTC website and entered my S/N number to perforn an upgrade:

But it is coming back with the message that:
Sorry, this software download is not suitable for your device.
Anyone know a way around this?

I want to buy this HTC HD2 (many years without a WM mobile - my current mobile phone is iPhone 3G) but I'm really doubt 'about the fact that MS said the HTC HD2 will be unable to upgrade to win7, is that true??. What about the push-mail-SMS & MMS experience? - What about the multimedia experience?, the audio player(equalizer-plugins) & video(play: .avi or Dvix)?, it's easy to customize?. The HTC HD2 works fine with the latest Opera mobile version? flash support? - What about the Sync process with Windows 7 OS?. Thanks in advance - Regards

hd2 9193 Smartphone Black Unlocked US Version att 3g and a price tag of $1000
the other one runs edge only in the states and cost around $610 online
other than that they are the exact same phone

Anonymous, 05 Mar 2010how did you install wow to hd2 i'm having problemsYou need to do "soft reset" after you installed this wow hd2 program. And one more thing....do not launch from program.To launch this program....go to settings/system...there you will see wow hd.
My settings for wow is as follow:
3d:80%
center effect:70%
Focus level: 30%
Def Level: 30%
Trubass: 60%
tru bass equalizer: 60Hz
Input & output gain: -1db
Sound is awesome......it depends on your liking though.

For those that want to know more about setting custom sounds.
1. Ring tones can be mp3, wma or wav.
2. They can be kept (a) on the root of the memory card or (b) in "my device/windows/rings" or "my device/my document/my ringtones"
3. Only tones kept in (b) will work if the phone rings when you are connected in disk drive mode, causing a override of your setting if you were using a file from the SD.
4. There are 2 types of ring tone settings, general & individual.
5. an individual ring tone is set by picking a person, go into edit and set a ringtones. (good to identify the people you don't really like talking to when you are busy. lol) {everyone should know how to set a general ringtones by now}
6. For custom Notification tones you must use .wav files and you have to save them in "my Device/windows"
7. To set ALL available notification you have to go to (settings tab - All settings - sounds & notifications) check first 3 boxes then go to the notifications tap.
8. Alarm clock is not set in notifications.
9. Alarm clock is set from the word "alarm" on the clock home screen.
10. The tone for the alarm is set from there as well.
11. It uses .wav files you have in the windows folder.

It sounds like the app was made for a certain screen res.... You can do a google search to see if there's an app to change the screen res on the HD2????? Other than that, I don't think the app is made for the HD2. It was made for your previous phone..... App's are made per sreen res........Just like movies I made for my OM2 want play right on My HD2 based on the res I selected for the OM2....

1. I am a very heavy user of Esword app on my mobile device. I presently use an ipaq 214 which has a resistive screen and the Esword app words fine on it. I was excited about the HD2 becos of the 4.3 inches screen , fast processor and WinMo OS since Esword only works on WinMo. But after getting my HD2 i discovered that the app has not been modified for WVGA. Though you can instal it, is very difficult to use as the panels for selecting books and verses are too small to select and select ok is very dificult. The guy who used to support the app has stopped doing that. My question is - is there a way to have this sorted ??? Pls this is really impt to me.
2. Like i mentioned above, i have an ipaq 214 with a 620Mhz processor, is there a way i can tweak my ipaq by getting a snapdragon 1ghz processor to work on it and make it faster. ??????

Megaballs, 05 Mar 2010i am trying to buy a version that works 3G in the USA and C... moremegaballs just go for the edge version it is faster than other mobiles, you can pick up the hd2 for around 600 on craigslist, dont really know if 3g is worth an extra 400.
mobilecityonline has a pre-order for att 3g hd2 for $999
