Yes it has software qwerty with multi touch input. And reviewers hold it as the best onscreen keyboard in the world.
It has both landscape and portrait mode, and has t9 which is almost perfect.

I... moreSimply download and install Microsoft ActiveSync(For XP) & Windows mobile device center(for Vista or Win 7), then connect the phone to your PC.A wizard will popup,and guide you through the rest of the very simple process.
You will get all your contacts, appointments,tasks,IE favorites e.t.c. on the phone within minutes.The mobile version of Outlook on the mobile phone syncs nicely with the desktop version of Outlook.

I have been using hd2 for about a week. Its a good phone. I dont have any sms or pink pic issue. But i have one problem with outlook contact. How to import outlook contacts into my hd2 phone?? I tried using active sync but does not work. Also copied .pst file into sd card and try to open from hd2 outlook....but i could not.
Do anybody know how to import outlook contacts into hd2 contact??

I seem to be having some problems with my radio program on my HD2. The first time I attempted to start the radio app, I was using my own personal headphones, not the ones that come in the retail box. As such, I blamed the problem on that. But once I got back home, I tried it once again, this time with the factory HTC ones it came with (even though it shouldnt matter or make any difference) and still, same result. Heres what happens:
Launch radio app > radio app graphic appears with the winmo blue, green, yellow and red loading spinning dots...and...and...and...a big nothing happens,thats what. It basically just appears to be loading for all eternity.
Seen/heard of this strange behavior before? Also, for the new ROM update offered on the UK HTC website, im gonna need that uk s/n number right? Either that, or get it once again from htcpedia?

it was written in the specs i can use mp3 as ringtone but i cant.....its kinda new just bought it yesterday it has stylus included its soooo nice.......only thing is it doesnt have flash for the camera...and it respond kinda slow....pls help me how to use mp3 as ringtone... kinda new to this phone....

Hi there, I`m thinking of buying this phone here in Australia soon, but can someone please tell me if this has a qwerty keyboard? If so, would it suit someone with big fingers (like me)? I know that it does not include a stylus pen, but would one work on it anyway if the keyboard keys were too small for big fingers? Also, if it has a qwerty keyboard, does the keyboard go sideways across the long side of the screen, or just across the bottom of the small side of the screen? Your advice would be appreciated..thanks, matt

MY GOD , 03 Feb 2010This is mini phone and this phone they used like htc hero ... morethis phone is a phone that has a big sreen ,and it the best in HTC and my mom use htc magic and my sister use HTC PRO 2 and my brother HTC HD but it better then ever for HTC HD2

Until the last few days, I have had no problem accessing Facebook using the defauly Opera browser. However, I now seem unable to access the inbox area of Facebook... Is this something I can remedy by adjusting any current settings on my HD2 Opera browser (if so, how?) or do I somehow need to update my current version of Opera? (once again, if so, how..?)

For the people that have the sms problem and not running the 1.66 rom the sms hotfix is back on the HTC UK and Europe support site. And it looks like a new one based on the date.

after reading about htc hd2 i'm really impressed ... moreAs far as I can tell the sms problem is only coming up in some of the Cell service Provider branded/locked HD2’s. I have a UK factory unlocked HD2 and I have never had the problem.
My advice would be…. Buy this phone factory unlocked, if you can. To date I don’t think any of the Cell service Providers have given updates for there version of the phone. And the Factory unlocked version is now on its 3rd ROM Update from HTC.
You can unlock the service provider version but that will void your warranty and you would have problems getting the ROMs from HTC unless you have a friend with a unlock phone that would let you use his serial number to download the ROMs.
How bad the sms problem is, I can’t really say because I don’t have any defects on my phone. But there are other here that can tell you how bad it is.
I got mine from www.clove.co.uk and had it shipped internationally to me.

I don't get this, does HTC manufacturers never use it's own company mobiles :S
It's been ages they launched WinMo and still it freezes up in a month, the only purpose i bought HD2 i thought 1Ghz processor would be fast enough to handle this big thing but again the same thing happened its lags in every other HTC mobile.
I hope they'll launch some good updates for this.
over all a good exp but this laggy thing just screw it over. I won't suggest to go for this.
