ProjectCM3, 21 Jan 2010Anthony I finally got my own HD2!!! I'm very excited abo... moreI will help you change the rom but I want to know, in your case it will most likely permanently void your warranty. Because I don’t know where you can get a backup copy of your “O2 Germany Rom” that you will need to put back on if you r ever have to send it back and want to use the warranty.

To speed things up, go back to about page 10 and read from there the conversations between me and “Liverpool”. I helped him do a rom change and you will need the same files. So click the links and download the Necessary Files.
When you are done, let me know what you got. What you had problems getting, and where exactly did you have the problem.

What version of windows are you running on your PC? XP, (vista, 7 34bit or 64bit)

            Anthony

I finally got my own HD2!!! I'm very excited about it, but then again, after months of reading, researching and talking to you guys, anyone would be!

The phone is a pleasure to hold, handle and work with. I do have some problems and I would greatly appreciate it if you could help!

Firstly, I already tried to read through all the comments and posts and even use the search function...but I'm still not entirely sure of what to do. So, here is my situation.

I bought the HD2 from O2 Germany, and I knew the phone was going to be in german language, but I thought I could simply change it in the phone's options menu...WRONG! I know there are ways to change it, but I don't know the steps. Basically, I would SUPER DUPER APPRECIATE IT if you could say:

            STEP 1. Do this
            STEP 2. Do this

I am so lost and confused that I cant even connect the HD2 to my laptop correctly! Just imagine me as a beginner in the world of computers/smart phones.

I did however find my ROM Version on my phone, and I was thinking that you might want to know it for the help/advice you might be giving me. Here it is:

            ROM-Version
            1.48.207.2 (71294) GER

            ROM-Date
            11/26/09

I also created a special email address where I receive all the help that I can with regards to the HD2, so as to not overflood the net/forums... it's

            doarptgunoi@hotmail.com

I REALLY need to change the language from German to English so that I can actually understand and be able to work with it. I already tried the tech people from O2 here in Germany and they have no clue of how to do it. I also heard so many things about HardSPL and Gold Card...etc. which really confuse me. I don't even know how to install something on the phone...so as I previously said, please keep in mind that I would FOREVER APPRECIATE a step by step TO DO list, from the VERY FIRST thing that I need to do, down to the last...and I promise I will do my very best to help others in the future as well!

Thank you Anthony in advance for any and all your help!

Now is been 10 days I am using HD2, experience is very intriguing. Screen Size, touch interface, UI and 1 G Snap-dragon and not to mention boutique styled.... simply overwhelming !

Just I face some short with the battery longevity, all time connected to push mails, messenger, calls & surfing and battery see-off in 4 - 5 hours; whereas if you are into just calls + emails +/or msgr then you can almost go through the whole working day. And any intensive use, well then make sure you have a charge point.

Fact is a phone with such good feature, speed and utility is hard to keep away from any intensive use or in general case, off your fingers.

Only thing am missing in HD2 is a 1400 mA battery that could have fed in some extra talk-time/usage...

I bought this phone after much study and really glad upgraded to HD2. However point of consideration before purchase, camera quality, battery life to suit your need, handling...

Exploit her and is a beast and hold it, Gentle as a Leaf :)
