The 1.48.405.2 rom
And installed 7-zip
SSPL_RUU.zip
Your phone setup to sync with your pc
And a copy of the rom you already have on the phone (for back up purposes)
Now let’s start
a. Right click the “RUU_Leo_HTC_WWE_1.48.405.2_Radio_Signed_15.28.50.07U_2.05.51.05_2_Ship.exe” file
b. Go to 7-zip in the popup menu
c. Click on “Extract Files...” and click “ok” in the interface that comes up.
d. Go to the new “RUU_Leo_HTC_WWE_1.48.405.2_Radio_Signed_15.28.50.07U_2.05.51.05_2_Ship” folder that was made from the extracted files and delete all files but 1. The one you want to keep is “RUU_signed.nbh”
e. Right click on “SSPL_RUU.zip”
f. Go to 7-zip in the popup menu
g. Click on “Extract Files..” and click “ok” in the interface that comes up.
h. Go to the new SSPL_RUU folder and copy the “SSPL_RUU.exe” file
i. Past it in the “RUU_Leo_HTC_WWE_1.48.405.2_Radio_Signed_15.28.50.07U_2.05.51.05_2_Ship” folder (there should only have 2 files in there now)
j. Connect your phone to your PC in sync mode (make certain it shows up as connected.)
k. Double click the SSPL_RUU.exe in the folder you just put it in.
At this point you should see a modified but familiar HD2 flashing interface.
When the phone goes into booth loader mode you will see the coloured bands and the word “USB”.
If you don’t see “USB” on the phone and your PC is not loading drivers unplug the data cable and plug it back in. The drivers should load then and bring up the word “USB”.
Exit the SSPL_RUU.exe and run it again when the phone is still in the booth loader mode with the word “USB” on it.
The rest is just like when you flashed the rom you got from HTC.
Note: you may want to backup your data with “Myphone” or “PIM backup” before you do the process above, so you can put it back on, when you are done.
Ones the flash is completed, go look at your new rom number and remember this is the number you will have to download hotfix files for (but i should be the same files as you used on the rom installed on the phone before the flash because they are both 1.48------ and so far hotfix files only look at the first 3 numbers of a rom.)

vish, 18 Jan 2010on the htc india site there is asia 1 and asia 2 for downlo... moreit doesnt matter, thats just the mirror youre going to download from, in the end u will get the same file.

Honestly, I haven't missed video calls. The ones I made with my F480 were only for emergency when I had to show someone something and discuss it live. Since then I had an N97 and never needed to make a video call. Anyways, most phones have C R A P CIF/QCIF cameras for video calls. So if you absolutely NEED video calling, get that $100 Nokia and keep it in your other pocket.

You can try Nimbuzz for Windows Mobile; there are also native versions of Skype and MSN Messenger (IM only). Voice calls on Nimbuzz or Skype work very well with the HD2.

If... moreAre you sure your Wi-Fi settings are correct? Can you access the internet with another device?
Check to see that you have a green tick on your access point in the phone connection settings. Even so, that only says you're connected to the access point.
Are you sure that the router allows you out to the Internet and doesn't have IP or MAC address filtering?
You can force the phone to use Wi-fi connections by setting "Phone" to off in the wireless connection settings.

Great Phone, but still waiting on Fring to support WM6.5 and this model phone. Also, theme of the vendors listed under "check price." They refuse to answer phone calls, refuse to ship to APO addresses, so they do NOT support the troops. Don't take my word for it--vendors such as Mobile City Online, SelectGSM, and Plemix are impossible to work with. But for a few dollars more, you can find this and many other phones at NewEgg, TigerDirect and other major online KNOWN name brands!!! These guys do practice customer service, and will make up for the difference in price!!!

what you have to do is disable that.
use a program called HD2 tweak to disable gprs.

Dear All, I have a BIG problem when using this phone.
If I am connected to WI-FI but I'm not in a GPRS zone, I still do not manage to connect to the internet, even if I am connected to WI-FI. Why is that? What am I doing wrong?
Furthermore, my phone seems to be trying to "dial" to connect to the internet when I try to connect in a no-GPRS zone. Is this possible?
What can I do to be able to surf the net without there being GPRS but over WI-FI?
Is my phone faulty?? I only got it mid last-week.

There is a hidden front camera. Just look into the phone and face recognition will activate it. But if the phone identifies an a-ss, it will not work. Go test it and see if it works for you or not.
