khalil, 26 Dec 2009yea, see what I mean? it makes me laugh how ppl wanna watch... moreYes it is very pocketable
I don’t think before i got it that because it was so slim it would fit in my pocket that easy.
I’m a person that forget things where ever i rest it down, many time i find myself slapping my pants to see if i put the phone in there or i left it somewhere, lol.
One of the first programs i put on was remote tracker because i know myself too well.
I still baby this phone but i ordered a Gel skin case and i already have the official screen protector on it. Once the case gets here. Then i can start to ruff it up like i would like and not worry about scratching the Finnish. After all when a bigger screen winmo phone that is even slimmer comes out i would like to have the option to sell this for a good price.

Anthony, 26 Dec 2009Thanks for the correction Now just like you i am wounding ... moreyea, see what I mean? it makes me laugh how ppl wanna watch full hd videos on a lower res screen.
well, motorolla milestone/droid which runs Android 2.0 has 480x854 res which is hardly higher and movie-wise its the same since its still considered 480p. the xperia x10 will have the same resolution.
also some phone called xp phone will have 1280x800 or something buy thats on a 7 inch screen and it actually runs Windows xp (upgradable to windows 7 I hear) but that's hardly a pocketable phone anymore is it? I consider it a netbook with a phone radio and not a mobile phone.
speaking if pocketability don't u find the hd2 a really pocketable phone? even with the leather pouch it makes less of a bulge in my pocket than my x1 which was considered a compact pocket pc.
              I'm lovin it!

Now just like you i am wounding if the screen res is 480 for movies in landscape why do people want to watch movies higher than that on it, when you can’t see past the 480 (that is the hard ware cut of point)
And let me know if I’m wrong again but isn’t 480x800 the most pix you get on any cell phone right now?

                  i was wrong
i was reading the x and y wrong on the screen
it is 480 for movies as you said.

khalil, 26 Dec 2009ur wrong there dude, high def resolution is the y axis not ... moreYou are part right you do check res by the “y axis” i agree all the way with that.
Now here is where we differ and let me know if you still think i am wrong.
The screen on this phone is (480 Y axis) x (800 x axis) but that is when you are looking at it in portrait
You watch movies in landscape so the “y” becomes the “x” and the “x” becomes the “Y”
So watching a movie in landscape your “y” axis is now 800 which means you should be able to watch a 800p movie
What i want to test is if the phone can play a movie that high without dropping frames that i can tell.

There is a known SMS sending bug, which was supposed to be fixed by the second hotfix, but I know many people who it didn't work for. I've heard lots of other stories similar to yours.

I really think that many HD2 handsets shipped with a lot of bugs.

vish, 26 Dec 2009so the first time i installed s2u2, i copied to storage car... moreIt did not ask, so it installed on device a.k.a hard drive. Don’t matter where the installer was it was still going to go to the device a.k.a hard drive. So leave the installer on the memory card a.k.a flash drive
Or you can delete it now if you like once you have a backup copy on your PC
Normal programs fall under Applications but Programs that run in the background all the time are called Prosesses.
If you want to see what “Processes” you have on the phone ‘
                            Got to “settings”
                            Tap “menu”
                            Tap “all settings”
                            Tap “System”
Tap on the “task Manager” the one with the icon like a heart monitor
There you will see your running Applications just like your PC and here is where you truly close a program to free up some program memory.
                            Tap “menu”
                            Tap “view”
                            Tap “Processes”
Now you will see all the Processes running on the phone.
Let me know when you are ready to go on to the 3rd one?

I got my HD2 in early December, from the first batches. I moved up from Touch which is an excellent and user friendly phone to HD2 thinking it would be an even better phone. I have been experiencing nothing but problems with HD2 and either I am doing everything wrong or the phone has series problems. It crashes all the time, is no longer sending and receiving text messages, my voice echos when speaking on the phone, settings keep on changing, no longer connects to Actve Sync and MyPhone and much more. I have imstalled 2 patches b ut the problems gets worse by the day. Anybody experiencing similar problems?

Anthony, 26 Dec 2009Actually the pixel count for watching movies on this phone ... moreur wrong there dude, high def resolution is the y axis not x axis. so when u watch a movie in landscape its the hight resolution which is 480p.
same as on a high def tv, 1920x1080 redolution on a high def tv is stated as 1080p not 1920p.
