After seeing this phone, I realize that iPhone is below this one.. iPhone is too expensive, offers more apps (but this doesn't make me happy, for what I need) and the interface of HD2 is more user-friendly than the iPhone one.
One question I have: is the back of the phone made by cheaper plastic, or it's some nice aluminum or other hard metal, nice to touch?

Windows Mobile OS? Pity. I thought HTC would have advanced from that inferior OS by now.

great CPU, huge ram, great screen(though 65,000 limited WM), and quite thin ,,, but they had to sacrifise the battery size to not make it thicker

Anonymous, 01 Jan 1970this is a better touchscreen phone: it has bigger screen and it uses capacitive touchscreen which supports multitouch whereas nokia uses the less responsive resistive touchscreen which has several disadvantages. 2 keys disadvantages r: it scratches easily cos it must be made of a very flexible (and cheap) plastic, and it uses several layers which make colors fade especially under sunlight. but this only support 65k colors whereas nokia support 16mil but thats cos winmo only supports 65k so its not htcs fault entirely. if u preffer gaming go with nokia, if u prefer being able to acces and edit documents on ur phone get this. i will also guess that nokia takes better pictures cos htc hv nvr really had a gud cam but with a 65k display, its pointless. however this will have a better build quality cos nokia will use cheap plastic and this will probably be tempered glass or very tough plastic for the screen.

I would really love to have seen it come in 2 flavours.
1. Winmo
2. Android
Would be interesting to see which would win!

to those who complain about battery life: true this phone doesnt hv a great battery but its not necesarily the speed of the procesor that determines how long the battery will last.
- this phone has ambient light sensor to adjust display brightness, always a good thing and display brightness is very important in determining battery life sometimes
- how often u use the processor and what u need it to do. like playing games takes a lot of battery life.
- the processor: snapdragon is highly efficient and some past 400 - 528 mhz processors are not very efficient. however what htc cud hv done which wud hv been better is use the 1.3ghz snapdragon processor which is 30% faster but also uses 30% less power. and snapdragon can run at speeds up to 1.5ghz so its probably only a matter of time. also nvidia tegra wud hv been nice.

Robertas, 06 Oct 2009I have HTC Hero and can say, that resolution and colourity ... morewhy do you post stu*** comments when you know that a human eye cant see more than 65000 colors ??!!
Just forget that stu*** idea about colors
About this phone, all I can say is "awesome", the only thing what HTC should have done is to let SE design it :D
