With HD7 to be released at the same time I will really have a hard time deciding between Desire HD and HD7. Plus there's the Omnia 7 too, which looks amazing and packs a SAMOLED, even though I do have my doubt about Samsung's customer support.
If any of you techies can help me make up my mind I would be grateful.

Only Stupid people say to new things without trying new things. This is life and we need to try every new thing and analyse before we make a statement.
People thought iphone will be dead very soon but it worked.
Same for android.
I can bet most of you have not used Windows Phone 7 yet. I have used one and I can bet it will be a great OS very soon....
TRY SOMETHING NEW EVERYDAY....BECAUSE THIS IS WHAT LIFE IS ALL ABOUT.

Engineer Man, 15 Oct 2010Actually Mark that's true. Microsoft have unfortunatley not... moreHi
I agree with what you said in the post, but I think I need to explain some features. First thing did iOS had cut and paste, multi tasking, Hd videos, flash, Sky drive ( or something similar) or windows live gaming on day one of launch.
First thing first:-
Multitasking:- After using a demo version [ I work for a mobile retailer ] I came to know that windows 7 does not needs multitasking. It can still do without it. The reason behind it is it works on the concept of tiles. in iPhone you have to go in facebook or email to check what's happening in Windows 7 you can check all this stuff from the tiles.

Actually Mark that's true. Microsoft have unfortunatley not played strategy to their best endeavors so far. Regardless of what you say to back up Microsoft.
They're attempts or dissregard or blind eye is no excuse whatsoever. What kind of phone in a growing world with ever increasing needs for more memory storage is going to leave out important hard/ software that is needed. Copy & paste is standard & needed in so many ways. Multi tasking process handles, & threads are needed in so many ways it's a standard.
But Microsoft should have thought about implementing these simple standards. Windows Xp wasn't thought up without multitasking, or without copy & paste. Go figure. Also BT filesharing more people than you can care to realize humble this simple method of network interconnectivity as standard now.
They are all simple standards which modern OS's must utilize to perform all the functions that a modern computer must handle. No ifs, no butts, no why's. Modern communications & data transfer, multi media & process management. All pre requisite requirement for emerging software & especially data bandwith intensive applications & mediums like the Always on Always connected Tag cloud.

Read on to hear about the Hard/Soft computing requirements Micrsoft felt sure that they should leave out for your Joy or rather lack of. Somebody doesn't know the market very well. SOmebody doesn't have a strategy or very good knowledge of what technology people are interesting in having as a major framework to the rest of the building. "If elements aren't their that are missing it'll fall down for sure"
1. Limited Internal Mass Storage for most early WP7 Models!
2. No External Storage Medium MicroSD
3. No Multitasking
4. No Copy & Paste

How can ppl be voting on a device thats not yet out, how can you determine performance? it does not even have a review.
Why all these silly fanboys, trolling on all WP7 post, what are they scared of? If you don't like don't buy how simple can it be. Jesus! some of you guys really need to get a life.
No system-wide file manager - Why would i wanna do this?
No Bluetooth file transfers - Really ppl still transfer with Bluetooth, too bad for them. Anyways it had WiFI sync (Excellent)
No Flash or Silverlight support in the browser - So what? the magical iPhone does not either and it sold millons. Siliverlight in browser is coming in future update, Flash is up to Adobe to add not Microsoft.
No custom ringtones - BIG LIE, you can download from market place.
No Divx/Xvid Support - Another big lie, Zune software supports it, so you can sync it.
Music player lacks equalizer presets - Another silly lie, its up to OEM who make the actual hardware to add this feature, look at the HTC website http://www.htc.com/www/product/7mozart/overview.html and look at "High fidelity sound" section.
No multitasking - As long as i can listen to music and browse the internet, which is very possible on WP7 thats all the multitasking I need on a phone. Plus I hear task switch is comping in January update.
No copy/paste - Coming in January update
Thanks GsmArena for all the specs, you have helped me make up my mind, I have pre-ordered my HTC Morzat. cant wait, to get it.
All you trolls and haters, keep hating.

The phone specs are the same as the min mobile htc hd2. That Microsoft was so down on has not being adequate for win 7. Now htc gave them the same old stock with the buttons they wanted so bad Nan bing search button. Win mob 7 is shot now but in about 2 years they should be a good if not better than iphone if they survive that long.lol pesonally I hope they don't they too much of a copy cat company and hypocritical comp how they dissed. App iohone fir being I closed OS now they done the same HTC HD2 rules.

Am i the only one that is concerned about battery life ? Does anyone notice that the HTC HD7 and in fact all WP7 HTC phones have older processors compared to the HTC DESIRE HD Scorpion processor. Funny if you compare HTC Desire HD with the older Desire (which has a bigger bat) at least you can argue for the HD having a better(less energy) consuming processor making up for the smaller bat. BUT what about the HD7 it shares the same old processor as the old Desire but with smaller battery and arger screen with power hungry WP7 OS !!!
Facts - look at the standby times quoted in HTC's official website all WP7 phones have lower bat standby times.

i really think Htc is no longer interested in windows mobile. The device and the operating system is a joke. How is it any different from Htc Hd2? i currently use this phone and it even does more. one would expect it to at least match Samsung Galaxy S. Maybe it would be better in the next HTC HD but for now, its frankly ridiculous.
