There's an app named discovery on the market that basically turn your hero to a ftp server, which allow you download and upload files to your phonr. This mean you no longer had to rely on Bluetooth or cable to connect to your phone. The transfer speed is even faster than Bluetooth.

I think there is an error with the 'Key Features' regarding the review of the HTC Hero on the first page.

The processor is suppose to be "Qualcomm MSM 7200A 528 MHz processor" instead of "Qualcomm MSM 7201A 528 MHz CPU" ? The specs page for HTC's website and GSMarena's website shows 7200A but the review pages differs.

          http://www.htc.com/www/product...ication.html
          http://www.gsmarena.com/htc_hero-2861.php

There are some differences between 7200A and 7201A.

Have been using this phone in India for a week now.. I was always wondering if Iphone would ever get a tough competition and the answer was Hero.. I guess the iphone is good but Hero is better in terms of more flexible user interface and my search for the perfect mobile ends here for now .... Thanks HTC for such a great phone.

Anonymous, 01 Jan 1970Like you I am undecided on which of these two phones to buy

I need the business side - attachments to emails - does the LG have them

I like the Hero for all the business reasons but like the LG for the personal side

s the proud owner of a HTC hero for some time now, i have to say, the thing is incredible. interface is clean and easy to use, has enough features for geeks like myself without going ott.
Access to the marketplace is fantastic.
In short, this is the best phone i have owned since...well... ever!

Hi there, I've been using the HTC Hero for about a month now and it's been just great. The reason why it's superior to Iphone is because of it's multi tasking capabilities and embedded connectivity..i.e facebook, flickr, e-mail, etc... with the new firmware/rom update there is virtually no lag in everyday use... the Iphone does have an advantage when it comes to screen size and number of available applications, also, the unlocked version does not support 3G in the US, but that's about it... you can open office programs with "Quickoffice" and you can view Pdf files as well....

Den10, 29 Oct 2009They haven't locked it to one brand. Sony Ericsson, Samsung... moreHaving lived in korea for 8 years and owned SEVERAL korean handsets, please allow me to be so bold as to recommend you NEVER purchase a korean-made phone. I have found that Samsung and LG phones typically last only about 2 years before they start to break down and are terrible with battery life and functionality. Nokia, Motorola and HTC are much better phones.

Amir, 04 Nov 2009Hi there, pls tell me why u r saying this is better then iph... morehero is better than the iphone cos:
                                      1) multitasking (running several apps at once is useful)
                                      2) open development (no rules for apps so it has more potential than app store and its easier to make an app for android. also it doesnt need approval from anyone)
                                      3) much more customizable than iphone even if u jailbreak it
                                      4) flash support for browser. currently it needs improvement but there r a few games u can play online and watch video from several other sources than just utube. iphone doesnt hv any flash support and wont get it bcos it goes against some of the apps in their store. android will.
                                      5) trackball for better navigation
                                      6) better autocorrect for typing

hero is better than x2 cos:
x2 is just x1 with minor improvements. it uses winmo, which is an outdated os. it needs major improvement and therefore dont buy it or w8 until windows mobile 7 instead and by that time there probably will be a lot more and much better windows mobie phones. also x2 uses a resistive touchscreen which is less responsive, doesnt support multitouch, currently and since it uses several layers of cheap plastic (which scratch easily) it makes colors appear more faded on the screen especially under sunlight. also hero has more ram.

                                      dont get motorola dext:
cos motorola milestone was announced and it is much better than the dext. milestone shud come out soon.

                                      dont get SE satio:
samsung pixon 12 takes better pictures, so if u want a phone mostly for taking pics, go with pixon 12 and there is a rumored samsung phone which takes even better pictures than both. SE satio also has resistive touchscreen (same prob as x2). satio lacks a 3.5mm jack. but the best reason to not get this is cos the x10 was anounced by se and that is better than the satio.

all HTC phones except HD2 don't have camera flash
