HTC Hima's display allegedly leaked, could be 5.2-inch

08 December, 2014

HTC's flagship offering for next year is apparently codenamed Hima. We've already heard a few things about it, and even a comprehensive spec list got leaked a while back.

But one of the things on it may not have been accurate, if a new report is to be believed. The Hima was previously said to sport a 5-inch touchscreen, but it could actually go with a 5.2-inch panel instead.

HTC Hima display panel

This is according to measurements carried out by the source of the two photos you can see above. They allegedly depict the Hima's display panel. Aside from the new size, we also see that the part which holds the HTC logo underneath the screen seems to be smaller now compared to that of the One (M8), thankfully.

These images and the claim regarding the display's size can't be verified, unfortunately, so do take everything with a pinch of salt for now. After all, the next HTC flagship was said to come with a 5.5-inch panel just last month, when another round of specs leaked, though these were extremely different from the more recent ones.

5.2 willbe too big screen size, alongith this a variant of 4.8 or 5 should be launched similar to HTC One Mini

I applaud OEMS that go way out to the extreme specs, it is better that way that phones become like laptops where there is minor bumps in sofware and only the chipset cpu and gpu improve. rather go all the way than stretch out like Apple who greedily...
