Have it for last 3 years. Was pain in the ass to root, but worth it. Installed CMOD 10 (Android 4.1.2) and it works like a new, even better.
As phone it functioning perfectly, as PDA it's way behind modern devices so don't expect miracles.

I have a HTC incredible S which i bought in May 2011. Recently, I have to replace the mother board which cost me $300. My question is it worth the cost? Should i just buy a new phone? Another thing is find that HTC customer support is very bad.

I have owned an HTC Incredible S for more than a year now. The BIG PROBLEM with HTC is that a cheap/fragile connection where the micro-usb connects. One sympton when this connection breaks is that the HTC phone will stop charging! Google it, you will see it is true! Apparently the common response from HTC is to send you on a wild goose chase of checking and buying cables, batteries or resetting the software....HTC has not owned up to the fact that they have produced a faulty phone and won't recall them for repair. Don't get me wrong, the HTC phone is a great phone so long as your micro-usb connection holds up.
