After receiving information that Inc S will not be getting JB, I have rooted and installed the ViperVivo ROM - ICS 4.0.4 + Full Sense 4.1 + Sense 5 Icons + Excellent Tweaks + Great Battery Life (Google it!). The ROM is great, has OTA updates and the chef has said he is thinking of upgrading it to JellyBean as well.
Hardware wise Inc S is a great phone...

Forget about HTC Roms, the 4.0.4 update just made the phone slow as hell.
Root your phone and flash android revolution, stock experience but fast and with battery.
If you want more, flash sabsa prime with sense 4.1, both roms are very nice.
Love this phone, a good alrounder.

gani, 13 Mar 2013is it supports skype video call with 2g networkInc S supports Skype. Videocalls cannot be done through 2G network due to poor data rate.

But when I directly asked @LlabtooFeR (who has excellent and accurate rumors regarding HTC products, the answer was Incredible S would not get JB from HTC officially. So the world is still divided!

If battery health is "good". Remove the battery, and press the power button for a few seconds to discharge any residual charge. Connect the battery, but dont switch on the phone and do a full charge (the orange light turns green)...

I have burned through two data cables already. Now I am using my wifes' Sony Xperia charger which is great IMO.

BTW has your phone started lagging after this update? I am facing serious lag issues but am not sure whether it is because of the update or because of Snapdragon BatteryGuru app.

Doc, 16 Feb 2013Bought this Phone as an "upgrade". The Camera is ... moreIf you wrapped the cord around the phone to charge it...the obvious answer is that the cord is faulty, not the phone. Most probably the wires inside it are cutted. So, i'm pretty sure if you just change the usb cable (or the whole charger if the cable is not detachable...) it should work perfect.
