We should wait for an official statement from HTC, as a new official ROM would mean an official kernel for JB, which is currently lacking. Lets hope HTC doesnt disappoint us.

HTC has already announced mobiles with 512 MB RAM wont be updated with Jellybean so lets wait for the official statement.

Just wanted to give an update. I had written to HTC asking their official stance on upgrading the Incredible S to Jelly Bean. Read below what they said:
As per your email, we understand that, you need information on the availability of Android v4.1 'Jellybean' with available Sense version on your device, HTC Incredible S.
In regard to your concern, we would like to inform you that, recently we have released Jelly Bean for HTC One X device. Currently, we are actively reviewing our product portfolio to identify candidates to receive Jelly Bean. Our goal is to prioritize review for devices launched in 2012 with our numerous carrier partners across multiple regions and then consider our ability to provide updates to products from 2011.
The catchphrase here is - "then consider our ability to provide updates to products from 2011". One thing is certain, HTC has no plans to update any 2011 device even if the hardware is capable of running JB - which includes Incredible S, Sensation (all models) etc.
Sad, but true. I am going in for custom ROMs from XDA devs to get better features.

AnonD-36086, 27 Jan 2013this phone cannot be updated with ICS!!Good morning!! (meant ironically ofcourse)... There are thousands of people using HTC with official ICS ROMS (myself included), so yes ICS update is available though there is no confirmation for Jellybean updates yet.

dan, 08 Jan 2013hye guys i have problem with slow charging problem. almost ... moreswitch it off before charging. it will charge quickly, myself face the same problem in africa with my Incredible s. hope this can help.

I have just gotten my HTC Incredible S back from getting fixed and its reset my phone. So I was just wondering how do I turn off the predictive text? I don't want all of my words predicted.

hi guys..my incredible s is about 5 months used...but my battery backup is very poor about 6 hours in stand by mode and if I play any games then my battery temperature increases in 42 to 45 degree..is this normal?

sushant, 07 Jan 2013yes its is upgradable 4.1 ics....There has been no official confirmation from HTC regarding Jelly Bean upgrades for the Incredible S, though the fantastic devs over at XDA have given us several JB ROMs. Just wanted to clariy... :P
