As for it not working with T-Mobile 3G have one on the T-Mobile network bought from T-Mobile works perfect. Yes battery life is a issue however a extra long life battery for it is less then 20$ online through Amazon. So that will fix that issue. They are still working on the freezing up issue but that with the update is less of a issue. Great phone beats most the competition by far.

dmitri, 06 May 2011Can we upgrade it to Android 2.3 (Ginger Bread)?? thanks... moreYes. But the update is available from AT&T yet. HTC has released the gingerbread upgrade for Desire HD (which is very similar to this phone), and it's been customized for the inspire 4G by developers. All you have to do is find the instruction on xdadeveloper and follow it. I rooted, SIM-unlocked, and flashed gingerbread in about 30 minutes. It's been great since.

I own this phone. As a phone junkie i am quite a critic of performance. It has impressed me greatly over the past two months. Its only flaw is its poor battery life (4.3 inch display/1230 mAh battery...) in addition to its utter joke of a battery door. This phone runs like a dream if maintained well but if you're in the market for one, plan on getting a spare battery until there are decent aftermarket options available for batteries, IF battery life is a crucial factor for you, and prepare to experience the most pain in the ass battery door in the history of phones. Other than that, this phone rules.

3G won't work though as T-mobile uses HSPA 1700 MHz for that.

Anonymous, 03 May 2011can this device be used on the t-mobile network?would be stupid if u unlock this phone and use tmobile.
3g will not work with this phone on tmobile. tmobile 3g networks runs on 1700mhz frequency. this phone does not support 1700mhz frequency.
att 3g supports 1900mhz.

Trust me there is a big difference with the inspire screen and desire us. Inspire is much clearer everything is so crisp and neat. The speaker sounds better in my opinion.
