Anonymous, 01 Jan 1970Yes you can get apps for it. Android's equivalent of the Apple App Store is called the Android Marketplace.

Just played with one in local Vodafone store. PROS: a) Much smaller and thinner than you would think - a pro. b) Very fast and snappy. c) Lovely interface. d) Web browser is way faster than iPhone. (And we were only on a 2.5G connection.) e) Both portrait and landscape on screen keyboards are (for some reason I cannot fathom but probably related to the way it may ASSUME you're pressing the key your finger puts the most pressure on) much much more reliable than the iPhone keyboard(s). I made NO typos in all my test typings.
CONS: a) Why only white? Black would be nice. b) Lack of dedicated camera and music track buttons. c) No 3.5mm headphone jack (hence, I'll be going for the Samsung or the new iPhone.) d) No camera flash. e) No FM radio. COMMENT: I believe these flaws are similar to why the iPhone has similar flaws, namely, the Magic is targetted at Americans who do not for some reason (despite being a nation of excellent photographers) appear to be concerned with phone cameras and the other aforementioned cons.
So, who is the Magic aimed at? If it is a social phone, the lack of decent camera features is a mistake. If the Magic is a media phone, why no 3.5mm jack or mechanical playback controls? If a business phone, why is it white? It seams Google are doing an Apple, creating a phone that it is hard to be creative with, but that it's easy to spend money with - unlike the more versatile Nokia devices running Symbian.

Anonymous, 28 Mar 2009I work for O2 and we are by far the biggest and best networ... moreAs a voda employee, it is very clear to me that we provide the best and biggest service in the UK and in terms of coverage, o2 have just signed up to network share with Vodafone,
statistics show that we have the best coverage,
this handset seems to be the real deal and we have already sold loads since its release... me thinks the o2 guys are gettin a tad upset at the fact they are so skint after LOOSING so much on the iphone...
