ultrapixel still doesnt matched with iphone 5 8MP camera. im not a iphone fan nor a user of it but apple really make a very good camera for their mobile phone. check gsmarena comparison between the two phones.

Ultrapixel mean that every pixel is bigger and can capture over 3x more light than non-ultrapixel. So this 4MP camera captures better than non-ultra 12MP camera.

No offense but experts like you tend to jump to general conclusions bars on experiences with other devices, without considering pros and cons of new technology. You can not possible know the exact general properties of neither Exmor RS or this One sensor.
Anyway. The Big Z of already far ahead of One in Daily Interest, i was sure the One would jump ahead for snorket day because of the GA Preview, but no, One does not appeal to most people the way Z does. I believe the design is the main problem, One X failed by looking like the since long outdated 2010 Desire, and One fails on looking like both ip5 and z10. The thickness is also a problem, those who want fat phones already bought lumia 920.

ultra pixel is not a new tech.. its used in the Nokia pure.. 41mp canera ...but it is more cmftbl in low mp camera...like HTC one 4mp
ULTRA PIXES IS NOT INCREACE PIXELS...IT INCREACE 300% MORE LIGHTS PER PIXELS...

I have not doubt the HTC One is a good camera but for specific conditions, and likewise for higher megapixel cameras.
Images can be enhanced using algorithms, however this has its limitations.
My main point is choose the subject then choose the camera, golden rule. Rather like choose the tariff you need then choose the phones that can sit on it (that's if you want to use a phone analogy)
All phone cameras will have their limitations, it's just that certain manufacturers choose to make then in different ways to give and edge in certain lighting conditions

its nothing wrong its "4 MP" but the ultrapixel technology boosts the picture quality up to 3 times..which makes the picture quality up to almost 13 MP

Anonymous, 01 Mar 2013Myself and everyone I know who had HTC 2 years ago had issu... morefrom my understanding is that LG/Samsung has paid web attackers pretending a dissatisfied former HTC customer, then would sing praises to get them to buy their products. Dirty tricks, but it does work. I myself owned an HTC sensation and it works fine just like any other phone. Don't listen to what you read on internet. Do some research yourself.
