I'm sure this year main battle between HTC One vs Samsung Galaxy S4. I won't think Xperia Z will give a good competition with these two. Xperia Z can easily beat HTC Butterfly but nothing compared to the One X.

The best quality pictures that comes out of any smart phone camera is currently the iPhone 5 and thats because it has a very good image sensor (f 2.4), not because it has a 8MP lense, because all others have 8MP lenses if not bigger. This HTC has F2.0 sensor (lower the better) and believe me, this phones camera will kick ass, if HTC has implemented it properly ;)

First of all HTC 8X was released just 2 weeks after Nokia 920 (The Brick). Do you think that HTC developed similar looking phone in just 2 weeks.
And BlackBerry Z10 was also released just 19 days before the HTC One.
People like you were commenting all over when HTC 8X was released. GSMARENA commented saying the same thing, which i am saying (you can search the news).
HTC's phone has always been way ahead of its competitors especially in terms of innovation and built quality. And in today’s competitive market, no one can be no. 1 in each and every parameter.
And I am almost certain that you are a cheap plastic loving guy. Am I right???

Nokia does and will have very good cameras in their higher end phones. Carl Zeiss lens are very good, even Sony uses them in their cameras (normal not phones).

This phone is what I've been waiting for. It outperforms any smartphone at the moment and brings in some new features to smartphone world. What I like the most is the build quality - finally there is something that can compete with iPhone's build, this one maybe even better, metal, glass, zero gap.
I saw several hand's on with this device and i can tell you it's a huge step ahead any smartphone in the market, even the xperia Z looks like a year behind this. The stereo speakers deliver a loud and clear sound, even better then iPhone's, which was the best loudspeaker before this. The 4.7 screen is so much better then 5.0, because you can still use it with 1 hand normally, and the pixel density is even higher.
I can't really say anything about the camera yet, but the fact is, it cannot be worse than the previous htc cameras - it would be illogical.
The hardware and software is the best out there at the moment and i really like how it kicked every ass in benchmarks. Sense 5.0 looks great, but I don't really like the news feed on main screen. I heard that you can turn it off though.
The upcoming SGS4 may beat this on some benchmarks, but that's it. It will be another cheap material device, and it definitely won't have stereo speakers. It's a shame though, that sammy markets it's products so much better than HTC, and the results are obvious every year.
The xperia Z can compete with the droid DNA/butterfly, but not with this one. The only benefit it has over ONE is the dust and water resistance. That's about it.
