I think it's a beautiful phone with an innovative design for an android phone after a long time. Also appears to have great specifications and deliver matchless performance (in droids).

Mizimo, 20 Feb 2013People keep glancing at the 4MP and not focusing on the fin... moreit's not really like that...
yeas each pixel has more space to take light...
but we are talking of 4mpx, so, you loose the gained advantage cause if you want to crop/zoom/modify it, you don't have the same resolution and detail level than a 13 mpx, yees, those 4mpixels are well taken, but you can't have 8mpx from 4mpx.... you can't add more detail, if it doesn't exist...in fact, smaller mpix photo, take a smaller area...
this is really basic digital photography... not advanced
so it's like taking an 8mpixel and cropping it.... yes the htc one 4mpx would be better than the 8mpx crop, but can't be better than the 8mpx, cause it simply doesn't record all the scene the 8mpx does, cause the 8mpx takes the 4mpx scene, plus other 4mpx...
it would be good if the technology was applied to an 8mpx camer, it would have been much better than other 8mpx cameras probably, but like this, to make a comparison with sony xperia z, you have to zoom it x3 to see if it maintains a good detail level comparable to a 12mpx camera...
i tried to be clear, but english is not my native language...

AnonD-115184, 20 Feb 2013Dude it is a smartphone not a tablet 3000 so the wight is o... moreyes, htc fan boy is right... cause you don't know anything of tech reading at your comment.
1) li-po doesn't give more MAH, mah is a value, independant from technology used. there's not some magic behind it changing it's values (a 2300mah is a 2300mah, it can't be "like a 2900mah", it doesn't make sense.)
2) i think in the last 10 years (cause li-po was used first by ericsson and i think is patented on his t28, we are talking of times much before smartphones) almost all li ion batteries are made with the li-po tech even if it isn't specified, cause is an old and used many times technology wich took the li-ion place
3) the advantage of li-po over li-ion is just a space advantage, in the same space, more charge...

Weather this phone is better than Xperia z or iphone 5 just depends on the user. This phone has better screen and more on board memory and very similar battery to the xperia Z. Also has slightly faster CPU.
But thats it. Sony Xperia has great body. I like the TFT screen cause there is less or no glare. Water proof is a very big deal for me. Very nice camera not so important for me but important for many.
If Only HTC and Sony could get the Battery from Motorola MAXX HD. Then things would be perfect.
I am Big Fan of HTC. But got Samsung Galaxy note 1 when it came out. It is my first and last Samsung product. used it for about 1 year. Its absolute rubbish. Samsung is of cause the most innovative company out there but the quality is very questionable.
I am currently using HTC x+ until I can get Xperia z.

They made a quad core, LTE supporting phone, they made 2GB when everyone was complaining that 1GB wasn't enough. full HD on a less than 5" screen when even most computers and laptops don't get full HD. Largest battery so far ever to be installed in a HTC, (and its LiPo). Dual stereo speakers that can get loud as it gets.
Yet there are still people out there that complain its not good enough, I like to see them spend millions of dollars investing on a mobile phone camera lens.
It's easy to say why not larger battery, why not more pixels, more storage, more ram, SD card slot dual sim, etc, etc.
Does the car you drive or house you live in have EVERYTHING you want? Stop complaining
HTC so far is one of the best inspiring companies out there and I'm proud to use their products.

Mithu007, 20 Feb 20133 deal-breakers:
1. missing of micro-sd card slot
2. not ... moreThis is a truly magnificent upgrade, I recently bought the one x plus, and until it dies out on me, can't lay my hands on this baby.
First off, why do ppl complain about not so important factors? They always seem to find negative issues rather than see the positives.
Whoopee doo, its missing a sd card slot, with 32 or 64 gb on board, who needs an SD card? I haven't seen anyone lately pulling their expensive 32GB micro SD card in an out of their phone, constantly scratching the contact points, everyone uses Bluetooth or cable to transfer these days. I haven't seen a single iPhone user complain that they have no SD card slot.
Yes the battery is not on par with razr maxxx. It's not supposed to be, HTC made their largest available battery so far and used it in this example, so far so good. I understand these use up battery in less than a day, but live with it. If they made a battery with 5000 capacity, there would be geeks that still complain that it takes too long to fully charge a large capacity battery, rather than seeing the upgrade.
With the camera, go buy yourself a 21 mpix dslr and drool over that. This is a phone, not a pro series camera, even a full size A3 print needs no more than 8-10 mpix. With phones, its just handy to have a camera around to snap everything on the go, share and upload these days, that's about it. You obviously don't know its not all about the pixel count, you just look at numbers and think the higher the better. It's the lens quality that makes a picture a picture.
