Just ordered mine on Flipkart. Wanted to wait for Sangeetha or Univercell to sell as they provide Insurance and extended warranty: but they are uncertain of the arrival dates.
I dunno why are certain wise folks making biased comments on the HTC E8. Either they are the fanboys: find a phone with Dual SIM, LTE and such expandable memory, packed in Gorilla Glass and Special Interface. The ones advocating the Micromax or the Mi3 don't even realise that those devices don't have a Interface and they would only get the plain Android in its Google form. For 35K, this phone is certainly for the ones who know what a smartphone is used for.

Stop b... moreBro my Nokia x6 2010 model having dual Led flash with 5mp and all high end Nokia lumia have dual led flash even Htc M8.Any other feature other than Hefty price that would have added to chinese Htc E8 model would be a great..Many are saying the difference between Htc china E8 model(Inr 27000) and htc india E8 model(Inr 35000) is because of taxes.. do you think increase of Approx 8000 is due to taxes absolutely not..China is highly competitive market compare to india and htc having a minor presence in china compare to india..In china pricing its only adding their credibility and brand presence not much profit but in india Htc e8 pricing will provide profit..but if MI4 and Oneplusone may have introduced in india way before it would have made htc to price E8 more competitive or addon of missing features except metal

I own a mobile shop....price of HTC One E8 is 34900 in local stores...if shopkeeper is known to you...he might give you 2-3% disc.
And in flipkart you may see...seller is not WS Retail Pvt. Ltd. Who are actual online sellers....the price what you are seeing is from other sellers which is placed between 35.8-39k....it's because they are taking advantage of monopoly as its not available anywhere in Indian online market

Camera is not good when compared to other flagships, otherwise it's decent enough for normal pics. 4G is barely present in any phones that cost, its mostly there on flagships. There is a Micro SD slot it you want to expand memory, so no otg is not really much of a bummer!

I dont understand why companies miss out on such important features! All this while I had been excitedly waiting for this phone, but now the reviews say that the cam is not par and no usb otg, unsurity of lte etc.

In China it's lesser because of less taxes. Currently at this price in Indian market, it's one of the best offerings.
