With my knowledge, the HTC India will have to tweak the software to suit the local carriers, which causes delay especially in India...
I'm losing hopes that i'm nowhere close to the MM updates as of now....

There maybe bug fixes alone after a stipulated time, which is 2 years in case of HTC. The selling point for any product is software and by not giving continuous updates, any company would lose out on their revenue. Take Apple for instance, they deliberately slow down the performance of older devices with software upgrades so that people will buy their newer devices.
If you are never happy with a software upgrade and find that your OEM doesn't support even bug fixes, you'd rather flash an older firmware that's a lot more stable. At least this part is much easier in case of Android than in iOS.

AnonD-320858, 29 Mar 2016This is not something new lollipop,kit Kat all took same am... moreI think Android should be devided in two parts for OEM's base should be Aosp and upper layer can be sense or touchwiz etc. Base layer should be maintained and updated by google for all devices which has google affiliated. Upper layer OEM's can manage and can give performance packages or patches to customize it.
And devices should be supported till hadware support it. It's pity on Google also to leave nexus 4 on 5.1.1 as it is buggy and gives sod.

And android N will be in my hands for beta testing soon,and according to requirements of it I think HTC one e8 will also get android n.(still a rumor)

E8 performed like a charm on KitKat. But what I fail to understand is the reason HTC hasn't released the update as yet in India. All regions have received Marshmallow on E8, but India hasn't. In fact the last rollout of the update was 10 days back and there hasn't been anything released after that.
We maybe talking of Android N, but you need to give time to OEMs to release the update as they need to thoroughly test the software. You wouldn't want to use a buggy OS on your phone. But yes, given that the update is already available for this phone since March 6th, this extreme delay is just not justified.

No update till now God knows when HTC will release update. Due to memory leaks HTC's version of 5.0.2 on this device is very slow and becomes unusable over time.
This is problem of Android that capable hardware forcefully becomes unusable due to lACK of software update for every device at the same time and at rollout.
When people are laying their hand's on Android N, We are still waiting and counting days for marshmallow. IT'S PATHETIC in this way. Fruit company is certainly better in this case in giving updates.
If HTC has supported creation of AOSP rom like sony by giving binaries I and many would have switched to stock AOSP.
