i'm using this phone since last 6 months. it is THE BEST phone if you are using CDMA network. processor and UI are one the best one if not the best. no lagging no heating ( if you some heavy games for more than hours, then somewhat).
battery backup is 15-20 hours in heavy internet use. and with extra power saver mode you can carry your phone for 12 hours with only 10% battery left. the ONLY problem or lacking it is having is camera. camera is good but up to the mark. yes you can tweak with third party software but the desired results are not there as compare to the other phone in this price range. in night it is even worse.
other than camera it is the best phone if you are using CDMA net and gsm calling. you can receive calls on both the sims at a time. today i got one update of 145mb than second update of 87 mb, these are software updates, after installing both these updates i got the lollipop update. which is almost 900mb. currently it is downloading. so after lollipop update i will share my experience after using it for some days.

old android system files are conflicting with new android system files.. caused battery draining & phone overheating.. you need to do wipe cache partition every time after update android system..

after lollipop update my phone's battery drains very fast. previously it lasts 15-20 hrs but now 8-10 hrs. everything else is good with update. htc please fix it

after updating to lollipop battery drains very fast. previously 15-20 hrs was battery life with moderate to heavy use but now it decreased to 8-10 hrs. is it also felt by others. htc please fix it

In Egypt After one montth from receiving lollipop update , i received today a farmeware update about 35MB solved the 4G issue now i have 2G/3g/4g auto

Hi , i have got HTC One E8 , with the recent lollipop update will thhis work on Indian 4G , Band 40 on 2300Mhz . This mobile also does not support recent launch of 3G by Idea cellular on 900 Mhz .
Any information on HTC E8 changelogs , post Lollipop upgrade ?

There will be 2 updates prior to lollipop update. 1st will be 125-245 MB , 2nd is nearly 80 MB . After this update you will get lollipop update for 863MB .
After upgradation performance of handset is OK , but batterylife got reduced .

I've updated to 5.0.2 3 days ago. I suggest you not to update your phone to lollipop. The things you get in 5.0 is new notification bar, new notification style and a lockscreen. With the update you also get ram leakage, battery draining, frequent internet disconnection and lagginess during multi-tasking as additional features. Just do the two updates of size ~80 and ~100, these increase the battery life and speed of the phone noticably.
