AnonD-171438, 15 Nov 2014i love my htc one m8 and every day my love is biger As I was running 4.4.2 without any hiccups because the update notification would appear frequently so I determined to give it a shot . Now, I'm running 4.4.3 which is fine although I don't see the disparity but the touch screen is unbelievable after the update. Today, I saw a notification of new software 4.4.4. By the way, I live in Pretoria ( south africa). I'm not gonna change this phone anytime soon perhaps in 2017. it is beautiful with a flawless performance. I chose a gray color. HTC for life no matter what

I have used Note 3, S5, Sony Z3 and finally moved to HTC M8. This is a great phone. Ignore the comments on the camera, sony has a 20MP camera but the quality is crap. The M8 4MP (2um) camera is amazing. The quality is just as good as point and shoot camera. Those who complain about cropping pics from a 4MP picture, just try composing better. 16MP samsung camera quality is not great if u zoomin to 100% (original resolution). This phone is simply brilliant.

Should I go for "HTC ONE M8", or sh... moreThe S805 chip is slightly better than the s801, but the performance difference is too narrow. Overall, the s805 has a better CPU and GPU performance than the s801.
I strongly recommend you to wait for the M9. IMO, it's not really worth to buy an M8 now. Just wait for the M9 in the next year. I guess HTC will announce the M9 around March in the next year. And It will come with the s810 chip which will be much better than the s805. Hopefully the camera will be great.

After one month, great phone so far. Camera features are fun to play with, especially edit mode and panoramic shots. Battery life in power saver mode is good-- at least goes 1.5 days or more. Key is keeping display brightness down and off when not using.
