AnonD-127775, 25 Oct 2014I compared the camera of this phone with other phones in th... moreThe M8 Eye will arrive in world wide in this November. The Galaxy Alpha is a great phone, but pretty expensive. The price is almost same as the price of the Galaxy S5. You should rather buy a Galaxy S5.
If you certainly need an HTC phone, just wait for the M9 in the next year. It will announce in the next year March at WMC 2015. I hope that it would come with better hardware as well as a better camera. You just have to wait five months.
This year is almost going to end now. Therefore, it's not really worth to spend money for a device in this year. Just patience and spend your money for a device in the next year with better upgrades.

I compared the camera of this phone with other phones in the store yesterday..... i wasnt impressed at all.
I thought the image quality was gonna be fine and i had almost made up my mind to buy this phone but the camera is far away from being "fine"
This phone is packing the best hardware and has the best design but the camera..... I am being very blunt here.. the camera is crap!!! Utter crap!!!
Colors are sooo washed out. Heck even the low light images of the xperia z2 were better than this phone...
I guess i'll be going for the htc one m8 eye or the galaxy alpha..

I'm planning to buy it tomorrow... bu someone told me.. its lens Will get scratch.. easily... is that true?? and if it is true... can I prevent it with a dot view case?

If camera isn't a criteria, then you're good to go with this phone as well. It's really fast, battery lasts well and the audio output quality is just so damn good.

best phone in market
if you rally use m8 never can use any other phone because other phone can,t make you enjoy if use m8 before
i hope in m9 only problem the camera be fixed

Hi Friends, the M8 is a great phone. I'm using the Verizon version. I'm facing battery draining issue. Tried to Root but Verizon phone are very hard to Root. Updated to Kitkat 4.4.3 still the battery issue remains the same.
Plz give some suggestions to stop this problem. I have removed sync, location, etc. Apart form this the phone is awesome in all aspects.
