I believe the reason of why it is at the bottom, is to make it more convenient when you use the headphones with your M8 in your pocket, I don't know about others, but I put my mobile upside down in my pocket, and I assume most people does the same.

Guys,
Its been 4 successful months, and still going good with my HTC One(M8).
Pros:
1. Awesome feel in hand.
2. Stunning looks(sply gun metal)
3. Possibly the best phone by far.
4. Camera quality is superb. Low loght pics are great too.
5. Works awesome with HTC Dot View flip cover and is cool to work with.
6. Battery life is good enough. I can pull whole day with medium usage.
Cons:
1. A bit costly, but if you want the best, you have to be ready for this.
2. Camera has a drawback, something that tore me apart. Somehow my camera was scratched and the pics became blurred. I applied toothpaste(I know, silly right) but trust me guys, It has cleared the lens camera like never before.
3. Audio jack is a pain. Its port is at the bottom.

It is one thing to criticize the M8 camera, but criticizing its speed and receiving calls is absolutely ridiciulous, you didn't even bothered to make an argument to support your lies.

Phone has a nce camera.
Oh yes even em nt a photographer,bt i hv them much sense nt to crib about my phone's camera,that its nt dslr like.

Regarding the camera, to be honest, before I bought my M8 the only thing that was holding me back was the camera.
However, now that I bought it and checked the camera by my self, I am not disappointed about it at all.
The only downside is that I can't take good photos while zooming, and I don't like zooming any way.
