I am totally in Love with this phone, and trust Me I used to be a diehard Samsung man, but this HTC one M8 has won me over, because this phone is easy to use and has wonderful battery life. I have heard some issues with the camera, but I found none. Trust me if you try this phone you will not be disappointed.

AnonD-258697, 06 Jun 2014well thanks a lot for your reply, that was helpful, but I l... moreMy pleasure Arean, What did you mean by “Android wz.” I hope you intended whether this phone is lagging or not. Do not worry about it; this phone utterly lag free. I have been using this phone for one month. So far, I have never faced any single of lagging. You mentioned that Note 3 was dissatisfied you. But don’t worry with the HTC M8, this phone is very smooth as ios. You can do your day to day tasks with blinking speed owing to HTC Sense. The HTC Sense 6 is excessively smooth as well as very user-friendly.
Any further questions, don't hesitate to ask. I'm here to help.

I think you have a faulty unit as 3 and half hour on-screen time is ridiculous. Even nexus 5 get's 3.5 hour on-screen time.
Rest I completely agree with you. I just feel that last year's HTC one was better looking as it didn't waste sace for HTC logo on the bottom of screen. However, this is a personal preference and looks are subjective anyways.

Owning a HTC One M7, I used to wonder, how could any upcoming handset be better looking than this beauty. Then came the HTC One M8 with a phenomenally beautiful design. Upgrading from 70% metal on HTC One M7 to 90% metal phone M8 feels like a big move. Contrary to what people say, M8 doesn’t at all look like last year’s model.
Though the phone is 5” big, its so easy to hold and use. The phone looks and feels very sleek in hands. Its something that I would never want to keep it down. My M8 is Gunmetal Grey with hairline brush finish. Metal of the M8 covers all the way to the front edges making the phone look total stunner. Build quality of the phone is outstanding. HTC One M8 has an IPX3 rating which means that M8 can survive accidental spills of water giving a peace of mind.
The display of HTC One M8 is simply stunning. M8 is powered by Qualcomm S801 SOC clocked at 2.5 Ghz and comes with 2 GB Ram resulting into very fast performance. M8 comes microSD card slot that supports up to 128GB cards.
M8 comes with Duo camera setup on the back. The main sensor is 4 Ultra Pixel whereas secondary camera sensor is the depth sensor that calculates the depth while shooting images. M8 has 5mp FFC making it just perfect for clicking Selfies and Wefies. The first thing that someone would notice and works best is the fast focus on M8. It just focuses on objects real fast. One important addition to the camera is the dual tone LED flash, that detects the lighting and automatically selects the right tone and intensity to fire the LED flash to match the lighting. The Ultra Pixel camera on M8 enables to click mind blowing images including the low light conditions. The Camera UI has got complete transformation. With the traditional Camera and Video clicking options, there are additional options to click Selfie, Dual capture using both front and rear camera. HTC has also included manual mode for those willing to utilize personal setting for clicking images. The Zoe mode can do click single image, multiple images (i.e. Sequence shots) with Video and videos. Depth sensor records the depth of various objects in the image and helps to edit/customize the image using various in-built options like U-Focus i.e. selective focus and Foregrounder. There are lots of other options to play with like Seasons, 3D Dimensions Plus, Copy and Paste, stickers and touch-up.
2600 mah battery on M8 is ridiculously awesome. It just refuses to die. Phone easily lasts full day with moderate usage and around 3 ½ hours of screen time. Also with Extreme Power Saver mode enabled, M8 can last around 15 hours with 5% battery.
HTC improved the Boom Sound experience on M8. The sound on M8 much more richer and punchier. It total fun to listen to music or watch videos on M8.
Sense 6 or Sixth sense as HTC likes to call it brings lots many visual changes on M8. Themes make a come back. Main apps are also colour coded on based on categories such as productivity, games etc. The dialer has option like Standard or Large dial pad. The phone is totally lag free. Even on running multiple applications there is no lag whatsoever on M8. BlinkFeed has also been tweaked in Sense 6. There’s an option to search for content as well apart from checking all the news, feeds and social network updates. Motion Gestures on M8 performs as desired. My favorite features are double tap to wake up and activating camera by holding phone horizontally and clicking the volume button. Also, there are many more handy options that one gets with motion gestures. The HTC One (M8) comes with Fitbit app preloaded that’ll continuously monitor your daily activities such as footsteps taken and distance traveled.
Also, 1 of the best feature of HTC One is also available on M8 i.e. Sense TV. With built-in infrared remote we can control our TV and set-top box. I don't have to hunt for my TV remote anymore when I want to watch television.
Overall, HTC One M8 is the best phone of 2014. A must have gadget.

A) Hardware:
HTC has built a tremendous smartphone.
HTC One (M8) is beyond any expectations when it comes to build quality.
HTC One (M8) has even raised the bar, even higher than 2013 HTC One.
Not ONLY it's made of a single piece of premium aluminum body, it also has a relatively lightweight, a great feel in the hand and a luxurious look.
The curved back is awesome and fits perfectly in my hand.
The Gun Metal Grey HTC One (M8) is stunningly good-looking. All of my friends love it.
I loved the tiny hairlines on the back of the HTC One (M8) – though there are plenty of cases to protect my HTC One (M8), but I never keep it in a case. I love the look and feel of it.
I couldn't believe it till I’ve held it. That’s why you have to “See it, Feel it”
Boom Sound Front Dual Speakers and the Noise Cancellation intelligent chip are champions!
My voice, and other party’s voice, are really clear in the noisiest environment (Sometimes I have to make a phone call from a factory’s production yard, with all machinery running, and the in-call sound clarity is awesome).
Phone calls now are at their best with HTC One (M8)
The all Ultrapixel Camera with the Depth of Field Sensor, on the back are both innovations.
My photos have never looked clearer in the darkest environments.
I create awesome “Bokeh” effects, right from my phone, without any third party app, only using my HTC One (M8) camera.
My selfies and my video calls have never been enjoyable, before I bought my HTC One (M8)
The front facing 5 megapixels camera makes it awesome for you to shine.
Battery life is better than what I had on my previous HTC phones (HTC OneX/X+ - HTC One M7), for my same moderate usage pattern.
I, now, seldom use the external battery bank to charge my HTC One to make it last through the night.
There’s, also, the “Extreme Power Saving Mode”, packed with the HTC One (M8) and it’s truly a life saver when you need to make a phone call the most.
Cell phone signal, Mobile Data, WiFi and Bluetooth have no problems whatsoever.
I get a relatively faster GPS lock on my HTC One, compared to my previous HTC phones, which is amazing.
B) Software
HTC One has an even better experience with the HTC Sense 6, on top of latest Android Kit Kat.
Sense 6 is truly lighter than previous Sense versions; it’s minimal, but very capable.
I never experienced any lag, on my HTC One, switching from app to app.
I love that I can group all the apps in “Folders”, right in the “App Tray”,
I use “Custom” mode to sort my apps and move them around the app tray.
This is very awesome, as I used to have my most frequently used apps on folders on my main homescreen, now all my folders are one click away, right in the app trey, saving space on my other homescreens.
When I first bought my HTC One (M8), I tried to explore HTC Blink Feed. It took me absolutely no time to customize what I need to be shown on Blink Feed. I loved it.
I love that Blink Feed can be set to Automatically Refresh, only on WiFi. If I’m on Mobile Internet, I drag the Blink Feed down to refresh.
I love the HTC Music Player with rich voice and sound enhancer,
I love hearing music from the stereoDual Front Facing Boom Sound front speakers and even with my headphones.
I love that the Music Player can actually pull down the lyrics and album arts and show them on screen.
Camera app is now better than ever.
You can switch modes on the camera to Camera, take shots and enjoy the tremendous editing features available to play with.
I really enjoyed playing with U Focus, Foregrounder, Seasons and Dimension Plus.
You can switch modes on the camera to ZOE and enjoy the seamlessness of three operations.
Takes a single shot, by clicking once, take a window of 3 seconds shot, and 20 still shots, and if you keep the button pressed the video mode will lock, automatically.
This gives you the whole thing from still shots to awesome video to capture the moment
This enables you to do tremendous editing! I love all the editing modes, especially the “Always Smile” which enables me to choose the best scene of a group of my friends.
You can remove unneeded moving objects! ZOE is really smarts enough to determine what objects you may need to take out! Mainly moving! I love this option a lot.
I love the “Sequence Shot” mode available, taking a set of photos and then choosing best 5 is brilliant.
HTC Sense Gallery is enhanced with awesome themes to customize your 30 seconds highlights video, which is created automatically.
I loved the 30 Seconds Highlights Video. It highlights your whole day.
I loved the themes I can use to bring the Highlights Video.
The HTC Gallery is the best and most live galley.
HTC ZOE Share is very fun, I loved that I can share the whole event with photos,
I can choose what to share.
HTC ZOE Share creates a full event with Title and Location.
One new great feature now on the HTC One (M8) is the Motion Gesture Launch.
I love that I now do not have to reach high to press the power button,
Double tap, or swipe left, or swipe right, or swipe up, or even use the swipe down to launch the Voice Dialer.
Hope my experience helps.

When HTC released the HTC One a year ago I thought it would be almost impossible to improve the phone entirely, and here we are, a year later after the original HTC One was released HTC announced and released on the same day a whole new HTC One M8, I got my hands on the phone the day it was announced, and I can't stop using it, the phone is really beautiful, design was improved in every way possible it's more round, it feels a lot more comfortable in your hand.
HTC Sense 6 is stunning to say the least, BlinkFeed has a lot of great new features. My only problem overall with HTC Sense 6 is the clock app, it has a limit of 10 alarms, and it doesn't sort them by time, however you can download many great clock apps from Google Play.
Camera is largely the same as the one on last years HTC One, However it was improved and there is a lot less noise, it's a noticeable upgrade when you use it as well as from the photos you took with it. it's perfect for social media but that's about it, the new camera app has some great effects which are possible thanks to the second sensor on top of the camera.
New larger battery makes the phone last all day, but that's also thanks to the new fast quad core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor.
The HTC One M8 is an excellent upgrade to the original HTC One, it's lightning fast and it's really beautiful, almost to the point where I'm speechless, HTC managed to perfect perfection, and that's a real achievement. I highly recommend the new HTC One M8.

No, iPhone 5s doesn't have battery drain problem I've been using it from 3 months, it has good battery which last a day even with heavy use on the other hand M8 has a better battery you should see your usage pattern m8 can give you 9 hr for browsing ,11 hr for video playback where as iphone can give you 10 hr for browsing and 10:30 for video play back. This difference is not a big one

AnonD-258697, 05 Jun 2014Guys I need your help, I'm about to buy a new phone and I'm... moreThe battery life of the iPhone 5s is significantly lower than my HTC M8. I have both iPhone 5s and HTC M8. Similarly, the camera on the HTC M8 is fairly poor. Although, it’s more than enough for Facebook uploads and day to day photography. Only issue is you can’t zoom much photos on a computer display because of its lower resolution. However, it’s not a big issue on the phone display. I really like the low-light performance of the camera; it's verily stunning. Overall, HTC M8 is a great phone despite an average camera.
Feel free to ask if you have any further questions.
