AnonD-89109, 04 May 2014Since when a 'selfie' photo makes you consider a camera? Jeez!Hi saurav ghosh, I've reconsidered my budget and I think I can purchase a phone. The obvious choices are m8, s5 and z2. The z2 overheats and is really big and uncomfortable so I threw it out. Now the two options are the exynos s5 and m8. I would've bought the s5 easily if it was for the snapdragon version.

If you've bought the m8 as you said can you tell me how much of upgrades and downgrades are there from the i9500 s4. Especially the screen, camera and ui as they seem to be worse than i9500. And if you've tried, list out the changes from the s5. Your reply is welcome.

Have a nice day.

Anyways the HTC one, along with any device, can do any speed class, although higher speed classes (like class 10 or UHS-1) are recommended

Just because the pixels is 8 times larger doesn't makes it take 8 times the detail a regular pixel would. And it doesnt add the number of pixels in any way. 1 large pixel is still 1 pixel, not 8 pixels. Your knowledge on how a camera works is pretty inadequate.

AnonD-116479, 03 May 2014The HTC M8 have already won the crown. The HTC M8 was award... moreYeah you're right about the m8 being great and all. But what you said about the m8 being the best phone during mwc 2014 is downright wrong. The htc one m8 wasn't even announced during mwc 2014 which was held in february. The m8 was only annouced and released on the 25th of march, one month after the mwc. You sir, sounds really biased as you just said things that you didn't do much research on. I'll take you're a htc fanboy as you said that the htc one m8's camera perform great in all conditions. Yeah it's true that the 4mp(ultrapixel in htc's case) rear shooter perform well in low light condition as it captures 300% more light. But in good lighting, it's performance is not even comparable to other flagships that were actually announced during the mwc 2014 which is the sony xperia z2 and the samsung galaxy s5. Read reviews comparing the three phones camera performance, the m8 have the worst performance. You can even look at the sample pictures taken by the m8, z2 and s5. Then you will see there is no doubt the m8 loses in the camera department.

Anonymous, 04 May 2014plz tell me m8 cam better than 16mp cam is it?In short, NO. 4 Megapixels (or Ultra as per hTC) can NOT beat a 16 mp snapper. Apply the math here. 16 mp will catch more details, so if you need a larger print 16 mp will be definitely better than 4 mp.

However per pixel quality will be better on hTC, as the sensor size is bigger. Also as the sensor size is bigger it will allow more light, thus resulting at better night / low light shots.

If you need only camera in a phone, then M8 is not your thing. However those people who purchase a mobile phone for camera only, well I doubt their judgement!

Had the m8 for a couple of weeks, and it's an excellent phone.

The camera has superb low-light performance, with good shots at night without flash. The extra functionality, such as ufocus, while not particularly necessary, are fun to play around with. Zooming in reveals some noise, which may not be the case with higher megapixel cameras, but I don't need to print or crop, so that's not a problem - and I prefer having the low-light capabilities. I never use the front selfie camera, but I guess some people might find that useful.

What I find really stunning is the sound quality. With headphones, the quality is pretty much like any decent phone. But the speaker quality is amazing, with excellent volume, bass, and a nice rich tone. I don't like wearing headphones all the time, and often when by myself prefer a more natural sound. Watching videos with such good audio is a joy. I would recommend the phone for this feature alone.

A couple of minor complaints: the volume button is a bit sensitive, so I often find myself lowering the volume or silencing the phone by mistake; secondly, it's a bit slippery without the case, though I'd probably have put a case on, anyway.

Oh, and for once, most of the bloatware is actually useful (blinkfeed, for example).

                                    Overall, a great phone.
