-design
-build quality
-sound and speaker(call quality + stereo speaker)
-smoother and faster ui
-great options in camera with dual camera
-better in night shot
-better front camera (5 vs 2)
-Has a dedicated camera button
s5 better in :
-dust and water resist
-finger sensor
-better camera quality when zooming
-usb 3 port
-more option ui(but with more lags)
- more ram LPDDR3
-WiFi MIMO
in case of battery almost both are the same in scores.
about screen it depend of u about super amould or lcd ips 3.

Pictures taken from my HTC One are gorgeous. I am totally nonchalant about these megapixels war. I even use these pictures as screen savers to my 22 inch computer monitor, everyone who passes by my desk find the pictures as brilliant, not blurry and true to life. I really wonder why so many people hated the quality of the camera. Is it because they are brainwashed that quality is directly proportional to megapixel count? Professional photographers would definitely disagree on that. Or is it my 20/20 vision is not really the normal vision for humans?

But the camera of M8 is way better than the M7. I tested the both cameras of S5 and M8 at the phone store. The M8 was really impressed me and even salesman recommended me the M8. The main disadvantage of the M8 camera is lack of zooming capability because of its lower resolution. I've been using the M8 since a week. I'm extremely satisfy with the M8.

AnonD-194221, 28 Apr 2014If you think the all new htc m8 has an exceotional camera t... moreit's better that somebody go to psychologist ,I saw M8 vs s5 camera test and M8 wins and defeat s5 in half of situation.M8 have had better camera in natural and landscape,better focus in open area.specially in nature,better capturing in restaurant and hot subject.but S5 saturation destroy the pictures,M8 is very better in macro and M8 has the great metering.do you know any things about metering???? it's related to picture depth. and more..... go home samplastic baby.just go baby

even galaxy s2 has a better rear camera then m8!!!!!!!!!!and even its selfie camera is better then the rear camera

HTC M8 is awesome phone! why everytime others give you upgrade in processor and RAM and Camera with all plastic body thats really stupid! HTC has done a remarkable job with Gun Metal body and boom sound. And by the way it has all the specs that a high end phone these days but othes dont have such exclusive things that HTC has. So no doubt HTC is the winner!

How about the low-light photography of the S5 and lagging Touchwiz.
M8 is better than the S5 in all the aspects.

Seriously though, need it cause with my S4 while I'm walking I never feel the vibration, and ultimately I gotta call back my clients as their calls are missed! Whatever I do my next phone must have a super strong vibration cause I hate missing calls!
