Alright guys, I finally bought the HTC one M8 Eye, and it is SNAPDRAGON 800!!!! it is also on the box and the same is shown in CPU-Z app results.
So I do not know why HTC put this OLD chipset, but I am happy overall with the phone.

Will the new HTC has the same stupid issues with the polorized sunglasses, you can't see the screen if you wear any ray-ban polarized sunglasses in sunlight.

Well the India HTC website mentions the chipset for M8 Eye to be Snapdragon 800!!!! I am shocked!
No wonder they have reduced price for this model. Where as the original M8 is Snapdragon 801 Processor!
GSMArena also has not listed the chipset for this model, i sense some hidden hypocrisy here!

This becomes m8 eye just because of the 13mp?they shouldve done this in the first place. Ultrapixel is completely garbage. Htc couldnt improve the ultrapixel to atleast 8up or 10up. They shouldve made it 16mp with ois. Just saying

Anonymous, 16 Oct 2014e8 is better why e8 is better?M8 eye has equipped with 13 mpx and duo camera and upper options against e8.e8 is good enough for beats other flagships but not win M8. M8 also has the best body in flagships.e8 just has better cpu that cause to stand up over all famous flagships.

AnonD-276592, 14 Oct 2014I will pass for Note 4 and Z3, I'll wait for M9 if it has OIS.I will wait for M9 with more compact and equal sized bezels at the top and bottom and evenly spaced speakers.

Why Oh Why does this have to be a China/India exclusive?? :( If this is any indication of the direction HTC is heading, I like it. The "Ultrapixel" technology was a complete bust, and I think they know it. But if they maintain the build quality as they have with the first and second gen HTC One, my next phone will definitely be an HTC phone.
