Can't find this anywhere in the UK shops to have a play with. In fact, hardly any shops have HTC phones available.
How is the text editing on the One A9S? Does it show a magnifier bubble like on iPhone and Sony Xperia mobiles (and earlier HTC phones) or is it the horrible tiny cursor like on Samsung Galaxy which is next to useless?

I find one thing very irritating about this phone: whatever you do, you end up with a couple open application windows on the screen, sometimes with no clear connection to what you have just done. I don't know if I should blame the phone itself (i.e. hardware) or Android, but anyway my experience is ruined by this problem.

After using this phone for almost 1 year (bought it in September 24th 2016) i can say this phone is absolutely amazing
I'm not a heavy gamer but i like to have 1 or 2 games downloaded and with the 32 gb (24 gb user free) storage that's a ton for me plus the ram is great
The battery is also not bad, it can get me through half a day and even more
The fingerprint sensor however doesn't work well sometimes but it's never really that much of deal

really good and decent phone in offer price....
battery is better than i thought.....(if u are heavy gamer , it will not suitable for you)
i think a9 is more premium look than a9s...but a9s is not bad too....
dun have 2.5d glass
it support fast charging
still dun have any nougat update since 2016 sep..(hope htc will give a9s nougat update )

This is phone is simply brilliant :) .
So much easier to use it after my old Galaxy S3 .
HTC OS is so user friendly , all you need can found easily - all related apps are found at one and the same place - lovely.
Though battery is a cons !

Do you know anything about upgrade to Nougat? Is HTC supporting this phone with security updates or anything? I have bought the A9s and so far so good, but I am worried about lack of updates from HTC.

I just bought this phone. It's sooooo light. I actually love it. Shame there's a lack of official HTC accessories (and 3rd party).

Great value for the price. I bought it for 299EUR. Rear and front cameras are definitiely amazing.
Smooth phone in multi tasking too. Played some demanding games in near the best settings mode. Sound is decent but at that price range, I'm glad with it too. Very nice in hand. I like it! Advised for sure!

Phone is decent, the best I've had. I don't buy High end phones for obvious reasons, but if you're looking for a phone that is near high end, I can say that this one can cover that role. Has good performance, does not freeze, it has true multi tasking. Screen resolution is good, though I wish it would be a bit brighter. Battery life is a bit dissapointing, cant really expect much specially when the battery is 2300mAh but I would've put bigger battery. I have to charge the phone at least once a day because around 6-7 pm im on 30% with average use. Phone build quality is pretty good, awesome materials and it feels sturdy.
I give this phone a solid 7.5/10

Front facing camera has good quality, I dont use it much therefore i cannot give you a thorough explanation, but the camera is good quallity and has a nice feature to make like a panorama selfie to capture a wider angle
