      Does anybody know if I partition a part of my external hard drive to FAT32 if my phone can read it? Phone only read my flash drive but can't read my external hard drive.

                because i connect flash drives using a USB OTG cable to my one max all the time. i even use it with a card reader to copy files to my SD card now that Android kitkat has complicated SD write access.
                are you using a USB2 or USB3 drive?

                  I'm disappointed that this phone can't read my external hard drive when I connected it. Something my old galaxy note 2 does perfectly. People say that Samsung is filled with useless features, but now we can see the advantages of Samsung useless features.

                    When the E8 has….
                    No fingerprint scanner for quick an easy unlocking.
                    A noticeable smaller screen, speaker and battery
                    No I.R. blaster for universal remote capabilities
                    No FM radio
                    No MHL TV out support.
                    Both phone are currently using the Sense 6.0 U.I. on kitkat 4.4.2
                    The CPU is not noticeable faster.
                    The only big advantage this the 13mp camera (not that the 4UP on the MAX is bad)

                        get the One Max for the screen size, great speakers, finger print scanner, I.R. blaster and sense 6 U.I.

                        or go for the Z2 for its water and dust resistance & primary camera.

                              Toms, 17 Jan 2015Hai friends... Please anyone help me to rectify the followi... moreI have faced that problem before on the now old HTC HD2.
                              It happens when the pins in the USB port responsible for activating car mode when you put the phone in the HTC car mount, is grounding off, Making the phone think it's in a HTC car mount kit, even when nothing is connected to the usb Port. You most likely just like me tried to fix it by turning off car mode but because the Pins are still bridged all phone calls would start in loud speaker mode for car hands free use.
                              What is causing The bridging of the pins is linth from your pockets got down in the port and was jamed in when you put the phone to charge.

                              The only way to fix it is to clean inside the charging port. I fixed it on my hd2 the low tech way.
                              1. Cleared a charging cable with rubbing alcohol.
                              2. Jam the cable into the charging port of the phone as far as it could go.
                              3. Rock it violently from side to side to loosen anything that may be stock to the pins in the port. (Like a toothbrush removing plack from your teeth)

                              You will know when it's clear when the phone stops picking up calls in speaker phone mode.

                              Note: do not put rubbing alcohol directly in the port.
                              If you are afraid to do it your self, take it to a professional to have the USB Port on the phone cleaned.

                                Hai friends... Please anyone help me to rectify the following issues of my one max.
                                1. Some apps like "car" is always opens automatically.
                                2. Can't mute the refresh sound while I am using Facebook n other sites.
                                3. Loud speaker is automatically 'on' when I start calling.

                                I reseted the phone several times but the issues are still existing.

                                The main thing is there is no HTC service centre in my place. I am really fed up with this problems especially the loud speaker issue. So kindly tell me some solution to overcome this problems... Please...

                                  Guest HTC user, 17 Jan 2015Did the handset fall down accidentally ? Lol!
                                  My phone falls all the time, that's why I invested in a tpu case before I even got the phone. But that's not the reason this time. I went trail riding on Monday and my phone was in my back pack.{I'll say no more till I get the report from HTC to what caused the damage, as I'm covered by the warranty. Lol) I'll keep you guys informed how the process goes.
