zale, 11 Mar 2014how can u make aphone like that with only 4 / mpThe answer to the question is simple. The spec sheet is not 100% accurate because it may be 4 megapixel in pixel count but it is really a 4 ultra-pixel camera. Which mean each physical pixel on the camera sensor is 2-3 times bigger than a traditional pixel. As a result each pixel can capture 2-3 time more light/data than a stand pixel.
In short it means the pictures will not look like a picture from a 4 megapixel camera but more like that of a 12 megapixel camera.
But all that is just numbers what you need to look at is an unedited picture taken from the camera and see if it is satisfactory.
The link below is to a picture I took 2014-03-04 for Trinidad Carnival Tuesday. You tell me if that looks like a standard 4 megapixels….

AnonD-119255, 10 Mar 2014Sorry bro.I mean which is better htc one max vs xperia z2.d... moreIPS LCD may look a tad better to you but is does consume more power than Super LCD 3.
The screen will look noticeable smaller on the Sony.
HTC has forward firing speakers with amplifier so it’s going to sound louder and cleaner than the Sony.
As for the battery, I can’t say. Reason is, even if you use both phone in an identical way the power consumption of their custom UI is going to be different. And I don’t know which one has the more power efficient U.I.
My question to you is...
What don’t you like about the MAX that you will go buy a next phone with similar specs? I ask this because I normally buy a new phone only when the new phone is a major improvement over the old phone, not minor differences.

Go and wipe the cache partition & reboot the phone (no factory reset), then do the ROM update. That gives you a higher chance of an error free upgrade. Without losing your data. Then turn back on the fast boot when it's all done.

AnonD-119255, 09 Mar 2014Hello friends. My htc one max has memory card data not dele... moreyes its a restriction google put into kitkat.
no downloaded app can execute a write command to the SD card slot, only read access would be allowed (yes it sucks). Some pre-installed apps have write/edit access, like the camera, email, sms, internet download, voice recorder & bluetooth download. but no editing of those files would be allowed from other apps. to do the editing you want, you would have to connect it to a PC and use file explorer to edit it from your PC. The alternative is to root your phone and fix it. the link below is for the instructions but i can't confirm if it works because i'm not will to root my phone. If you do it, let me know if it worked.

note: To set the apps mentioned above to write to the SD or internal memory, go to settings>storage> and under "other" go to Storage settings

htc, 08 Mar 2014How clear cash and do I need backup my software and data in... moreSteps to wipe cache partition & do a factory reset from Android System Recovery mode…
To readers that don’t have a HTC ONE Max please note that to get into Android System Recovery mode, it’s different for different manufactures and some times models.
1. Go to settings >power
2. Turn off Fast boot.
3. Power off your phone.
4. Hold down “volume down” & power till the phone boots to the screen with the 3 Androids on skate boards.
5. Use the volume keys to navigate to “Recovery”
6. Press the power key. The phone will then reboot and you will see a ONE MAX with the RED warning logo on the screen.
7. Once there, hold “volume up” & press the power key. That will take you into the “Android system recovery”
8. Use the volume keys to navigate to “wipe cache partition” and press power key to enter.
9. Navigate to “wipe data/factory reset” & press power to enter.
10. Navigate to “reboot system now” & press power to enter.
The phone will now start like the first day you took it out the box but with the ROM you installed last.
Note to Sbgl a.k.a. htc.
a. In the future do the “wipe cache partition” just before you download and install a new ROM, this way you will not have to do a factory reset to get rid of errors.
b. Reason to keep “fast boot” on, when you not trying to get into Android recovery. Once you have a password on your phone, fast boot would make it impossible for the average thief to factory reset the phone by booting in to Android system recovery without knowing your password.

the steps to get into recovery mode to do the cache partition wipe are long with detail explanation, so I'll post it in the morning when I'm not sleepy.
