the only thing that this handset makes me happy is the memory card slot cause at last new HTC phone has it but apart from that everything is dissappointment.!!

Whackcar, 16 Oct 2013To the guys moaning about the 4MP camera, it is a UltraPixe... moreUltraPixel or not, its camera is still lacking severely in the resolution department. I know pixels arent everything, but you simply cannot get away with having FOUR MEASLY MEGAPIXELS on a smartphone these days. It has not even managed to claim the top spot in any comparative camera test. Even on GsmArena's recent, camera shootout, it still lost to the Lumia 1020, Note 3 and the Z1, only winning by a small, small margin in the low light test. Heck, even the iPhone 5/5c/5s shits on the HTC One's camera.

Also, you must be misinformed, but the whole point of larger pixels in the HTC One's camera is not to improve sharpness(see comparison shots where it ALWAYS loses in sharpness/detail), but rather to improve low light performance.

After reading HTC One Max's review on several different websites including gsm, I am a little bit disappointed as this Max is not a huge step forward but I do remember what HTC said at the start of 2013 when the original HTC One was announced that this year there will be only ONE flagship device! And after seeing what HTC came out with after the launch of the original One, there's the Mini, Facebook phone, other lower end spec phones and now the Max, u cant deny that these 'other' HTC phones and just stepping stones for the original HTC ONE to shine! And so now if u see the Max, u will realize what this phones purpose is for! Can't wait till next year when HTCs 2014 flagship comes out...snapdragon1200, 3.2ghz, 4gbs ram, 12ultrapixel camera and HTC sense 6.0 #pleasemakethisphonehtc

Whackcar, 16 Oct 2013To the guys moaning about the 4MP camera, it is a UltraPixe... moreYour kidding me right? Ultra pixel is a gimmicky camera. The lumia 1020 obviously beats it in every category. Please you obviously can't be serious

To the guys moaning about the 4MP camera, it is a UltraPixel camera. Which means each pixel is much larger than a regular pixel. Thus the quality it produces is much more detailed and sharper than a regular camera. I would choose this 4MP camera over a Nokia 41 MP gimmickry camera.

For years, a misconception among most consumers is that the higher the megapixel count, the better quality of images. Actually, the number of megapixels is only one of many factors that determine picture quality, with sensors and image processors each playing a critical role.

However, year after year manufacturers try to outdo each other with higher megapixels. How? By reducing the size of the pixels to cram more in, which often decreases image quality. That's because the smaller the pixel, the less light each one collects. This results in more visible noise and other defects in both still images and video.

The more light a digital camera can capture, the more information it can record, resulting in better pictures in more varied conditions and lighting environments.

HTC's approach is to offer larger pixels in the new sensor that can capture 300% more light than many of the 13 megapixel cameras on the market. Because larger pixels record more light and data, our photos display more shades and greater color accuracy.
