If you get no sound on the speaker switch off fast boot in settings and reboot the phone this sorted out the issue for me.

Hi,i bought this phone in Ireland,i can say that i am very dissapointed,right from the first call,the microphone is not working,i use the phone in Romania,the htc support says that the international warranty is not valid here,because the phone was sold with a software branded...anyway i cannot find a service that can replace the microphone without damages for the case.

I have the HTC one mini 2....Its really really nice phone and it have much higher specifications as compare to other famous phones.... i have no any complain about this phone....& i also recommend this phone to all.. i love this phone.

Please be aware with my issues I had with the service guys in Kuwait
When they fixed my microphone, I got the phone back and the phone was not ringing in my pocket. I sent it back to them again and they resettled it.
Now, the phone was ringing in my pocket but another four issues came up:
- Blurry camera,
- Phone goes silence by itself,
- Volume button is destroyed (needs pressure to press it)
- Front part where the front camera is goes out,
So please please when you go to these guys make sure you check all these things. I was there more than 6 times and it cost me more than 30 KWD only taxi.
Now I m no longer in Kuwait and the phone is in another service, still waiting for it, I never enjoyed my "new" phone!

The problem is that they fixed the microphone but the camera is blurry now, I have no idea what the service did.
Since I bought this phone I didn't enjoy it at all, it's always in the service. I can't blame on HTC for this expect for microphone, it's service's fault.

plzz friends i've the one mini 2 ... does anyone experinced a background noise while playing music ! it's so annoying and also when i charge my phone 100% but when i turn it on it's actually 97% not fully charged plzzzzz help!

For these specs the price is ridiculous (in a bad way).
I recommend checking Motorola Moto G variants.
If a more premium device is desired, then the Sony Xperia Z1 Compact is a much better phone for a bit less. The Z3 Compact will be announced soon as well.

I bought the Htc one Mini 2 and right out of the box the microphone never worked. I could hear callers only through the speaker phone or using the head set. I went through over an hour of trouble shooting with htc's online support only for the agent to confirm that it was a hardware defect and the microphone didnt work. htc's solutions all included sending me back a refurbished phone to replace my brand new (never used, hardware defective) phone. Telling me it was their 'policy' even though it was evident that I bought their defective product. The phone itself is still good however I would hesitate to recommend the htc brand to anyone based on their ridiculous policy and this experience. I do not know how wide spread this microphone problem with this model phone but be warned. Htc will not replace your defective phone with a new one.
