All I wonder about HTC is that when they wash something clean, they let it dry in a dirty environment, why eliminate a radio at this hour, make the phone a full blast beast ready to compete without any excuses, that's what failed the one x over galaxy s3. No room for mistakes anymore. You eliminated the memory slot., yyyyyyy?

Most important thing for a phablet is aspect ratio.
The G-Note-1 is a perfect 16:10 (1280 x 800) - just right for browsing and photo-viewing - and the reason for the runaway success of the market's first proper phablet.
But with the G-Note-2, Samsung have narrowed the screen down to 16:9 (1280 x 720) ... which has turned it from a phablet back into a large phone where too much page-scrolling's required for comfortable web-browsing.
Unfortunately, it looks as if HTC is about to fall into the same trap with the One-X.
If only these companies had sufficient insight to see what it is that makes a particular product a success.
The G-Note-1 is spoilt by the abysmal Pentile display, but is otherwise, the ideal phablet.
But instead of capitalising on its amazing success, they've goofed by retaining the Pentile display and returning to a non-phablet aspect ratio.
The fantasy device would be the G-Note-1 with non-Pentile display, quad-core processor, HTC styling and beefier battery - even at the cost of a thicker device.

The phone specs I would buy:
Quad Core 1.8-2.1 Ghz
2GB RAM
12MP Full HD camera
Adreno 320
5" screen in a small phone
130 x 70 x 8 mm
Price ~600 euro
That's what I call a phone for 2012!

HTC, you should learn from me. If you want more success with this one, then add these in plus: 2100 mAh of battery(to compete with the S3), 12 MP camera with good sensor(to beat the S3 and Note 2), add 2 Gb of Ram and add a memory card slot. These features are enough for this phone to be a success!!!

how the hell would HTC release a device with only 1800ma batt and 1 gig of ram. that is so unacceptable. htc is going down. I just hope this leak isn't true.
