aditzut, 31 Aug 2012Chose the HTC. You will not regret ;)Just dont drop them. I dropped mine from half a meter and the screen shattered. Thought only iPhones did that. Trying to get the screen replaced is a nightmare. HTC is not releasing any genuine screens for the OneX any more and generic screens short out the mother board. Something HTC not saying about the OneX screens? The phone itself runs like a dream, but yea... dont drop them :S

I have had two HTC phones before, wildfire n desire S. i bought onex on 30 june 2012 hand set no SH25MW101071. The display developed internal streak within 38 days! My experience with their service centre is Pathetic and feels out right cheated! After two weeks it is still with them n they r monkeying with me!
My friend bought a oneX a week after me. He also has problem with display. The contacts seems like some one erased the end letters with eraser!!

This is my latest review regarding HTC ONE X or HOX:
I have HOX for 4 months now:
                        So here's my opinion:
                        1. The display..simply wonderful. It's a joy to watch HD movies or browse or play. The colors are a little oversaturated if you compare with other HTCs. But I think this happens due to the type of screen. Comparing with its main rival SG III, it's clear that HOX's display is better overall (of course, each of them has weak and strong points and the difference is not very high).Actually, it's pretty safe to say that HOX's display is the best on market today.
                        2. Sense: working flawlessly, not a single lag. ICS has no visible bugs and social networking is very vell integrated (adding FB, Twitter, yahoo mail and Viber to contact information, for example). Also, the experience was improved with the latest upgrade to 4.0.4. and Sense 4.1.
                        3. Camera: the best camera on a HTC till now. Very nice pictures, on par with other good 8MP cameras from other phones. A slight improvement after 4.0.4. There are a lot of apps on Google Play (e.g. Camera 360) that can take better pics than standard camera.
                        4. Call quality: very good. Also i didn't have any problem with carrier signal or WIFI, all time at full (but this is not relevant, because it depends of carrier). The sound is very good even with earphones (i've brought my HOX form Vodafone with 2 years contract and i've been given as a present the earphones from Monster beats: clear sound but a little too much bass for me. Never tried the stock ones).
                        5. Storage capability. I don't like the lack of expandable microSD. But to be honest is not a issue for me. And same for 99% of smarphone users, be they Apple, Samsung or HTC users. 'Cause 26 gb + 25 gb from dropbox are more than enough fore most of us. After 4 month I never felt that i do need extra space. And I have music, pictures, iGO with maps of whole Europe and a lot of apps (even big games for tegra 3).
                        6. Battery life: this is a mixed one. If you use phone on normal basis: 1-2 hours per day of calling, 1-2 hours of internet browsing and some moderate gaming\music the battery will last 12 hours with no problems. Also, the standby consuming is very good (over night, when i'm not charging it, i lose around 3-5% of battery at 7-8 hours). But, on the first days, when you want to "discover" and play with your phone, you tend to use it a lot..so the battery will go empty pretty fast. And here comes the limitations: pretty long recharging time and no swappable battery. Of course, i would have liked a 5000 mAh battery or a nuclear one (:P), but overall, a decent battery that will not let you down over one day with normal usage.
After 4 months I can say for sure that its battery it's not the best in terms of longevity. The Screen is eating most of it. And 3G + data internet (no Wifi) are also taking a big toll. And here the 5th companion core is useless. Because the screen is !!!BIG!!!! and eating a lot of battery, no matter what you are doing and 3G\Data Mobile are also a big consumer of resources (actually W.M. 6.5 was far better from this point of view and my previous HTC, HD2, hadn't this problem). I have tested HOX with SG III and iPhone 4 (not S). The battery of HOX delivers more life than iPhone, even if its screen is much bigger (the test was made during a whole day, when the 2 phones were exploited the same way: music, browsing, current duties, some games.). In the end, when iPhone's battery nearly died, HOX had 17% battery. Compared with SG III the battery last less, it's true (on stock rom). And it's normal, because 2100 mAh > 1800 mAh and the 5th saving core can't compensate for all those 300 mAh. Overall, with my usage, I have around 2 hours and something of screen ON during one cycle of discharging (and around 12-16 hours of use). I do belive that HTC has made a mistake here, they should packed a bigger battery (and it's quite possible, the exemple is...SG III). But there's a lot of accesories (external batteries even a hard cover with battery from Mungen) that can compensate the lower battery.

Conclusions : I've brought HOX, even if i knew that SGIII is coming. And I don't feel sorry at all, au contraire, I'm glad i did it. I knew that the hardware on SGIII will be better. But the problems of SGIII is that even the hardware is better..the differences are not noticeable at all! I'm tired of seeing comments about benchmarks and speed (actually, after the upgrade to Android 4.0.4., HOX with stock rom has better results than SG III with stock rom). But I don't use my phone to make benchmarks! The software that we use on phones today is not demanding and there's no difference at all between all those phones with quadcore as they behave in real day, even with the most demanding games, hd movies and so on. So? what's the point of having the best of the moment if differences are not visible? In 2 months or so Apple will have a new iPhone with better specs, after that HTC will have a new flagship and after will be the turn of Samsung to trump all with it's new phone and so on and on...
I have chosed HTC because of the feeling that it gaves to me. It's a very beautiful phone builded with the best materials. I don't use a solid back protection due to the fact that i carry it in a bag and i have keys, lighter so i use a leather pouch. And also because it adds weight to the phone. So, here, HOX scores a big point against Samsung, which is pretty ugly (to be honest, not as ugly as I thought it is before it was released) and made from not so good looking plastics (there are a lot of problems regarding fissures and ruptures in the side band of SG III, but there's another topic for this, on SG III's page). On the other hand, I have heard of several problems regarding HOX (wifi not working, for example) but never happend. My HOX was flawless from the begining.
Even now, after 4 months and with SG III out and rocking, I prefer HOX over SGIII. Because, even is slighty less powerful than SGIII, it delivers better user experience and is better looking.

Engr. IMRAN RASHID, 30 Aug 2012Can any user of htc one x comment in detail about its batte... moreLet's see here I have had my HTC one X since the day it was released and have loved it. Battery life is outstanding. I get up at 4 am every morning and put on my Pandora radio app to go for a run. And have dropped my phone twice once without a case and there was no damage done to it at all. But I work in a cabinet shop so I thought I would go get an otter box hard case with a built in screen protector and a gell exoskeleton. Ans have dropped it a few times no slow downs or glitches. So great durability. As for battery life it is amazing I play my Pandora app all day long with the beats audio sounds great. So from 4am unroll 430 pm it is running constantly on top of texting and web browsing. I charge my phone every night but I still have maybe a quarter battery life left. Playing games does drain the battery very fast depending on the quality and size of the game. Bit very very happy with what I have. Hope this helped out.
