AnonD-35246, 01 Apr 2012Nop.Anything above 300 ppi is not visible to human eye. So... moreYou need to keep in mind that reviews are there to help you. To guide. They are not always absolute fact. You say 300ppi is the max my eyes can see. How do you know that. You checked my eyes? No. You read it somewhere and jumped straight away. A little bit silly no?

They say the human ear can only hear 20hz to - 20 KHz, CD quality. But many audiophiles believe there is a distinct difference the quality of sound between say a record, and a CD.

When I bought my SGS 2 I bought it cause I was happy with the UI of my HTC Desire and thought the SGS 2 would be similar. It wasn't. The sgs2 UI felt cheap. Same thing with the screen. Reviews praised the SGS 2 screen. And it is good. But such poor res on a big screen. I hated it. Such powerful CPU on SGS 2, but the menu felt like Win 95!!! they also say how good SGS screen is for battery, but they don't say how bad battery and CPU is!! Lol!! You believe that!! Too tricky!!

Different phones do different things and I learnt they all have pluses and minuses. And some are just marketed very well! You think just apple has tricks?

My perfect phone after owning a Sony (K750, ericsons etc) HTC desire, Nokia E6,(plus a million other Nokias from back in the day:) ), SGS 2, iPhone 3GS, 4, 4S would be this:

A 4 inch screen. Super amoled plus, HTC UI BUT with iPhones responsiveness and smoothness, iPhone res 330 ppi, iOS marketplace, SGS 2 connectivity options, iphone4/4S build quality, Nokia E6 battery life, SGS2 screen glass, iOS menu system, iOS camera sensor with SGS 2 controls, with some keyboard like E6.

Dislike the android stock UI, Nokia was a little slow on the UI, neither of these 2 can even compare to ios responsiveness. HTC desire battery was the worst ever. SGS phone was too big and the battery barely last a day. iPhone glass apparently break easily (none of mine broken - on any phone), iPhone has no flash support in 2012? WTF!! It might be a battery hog but you need it. iPhone battery strong on my 4S. With 3G, Bluetooth and wifi left on the whole time from start to finish and moderate to heavy use like right now, web, 6 email accounts, and NBA game highlights everyday, I get around 12-14 hours. Light use easy 24 hours, most ever was 31 hours.

And that my friends is just a small sample of really owning the phones.

My old De... moreMr.TC totally disagree......read a post from gsmarena about two months back....HTC is the best in making antenna,d quality cant b matched with HTC phones......I guess you are a guy who always like to wear PUMA shoes...have you ever even tried NIKE with its superb comfort with simple and sophisticated designs....SAME is this case....Then what about sense baby???.....did you ever tried it.....guess what even the dock(car mode) present in ONE X is enough to outrun your other interfaces.....MIND You---my wildfire goes 1 day easily and EVO 3d lasts 1 and a half day with wifi always on, synced mail accounts, weather,FB etc......nd people talk about S2...haha in my family we have 3 s2...its the worst interface, hangs often........

HTC always manufacture the highest quality & most durable smartphones.
I've been using a Touch Pro2 with no problems for around 2.5 years & it's still working smoothly, before that I had a TytnII which was dropped in water & still operating.
HTC phones are very solid & hard working, which is different than other manufacturers who provide fragile non durable devices.

AnonD-8044, 02 Apr 2012Yes just read C-Net test here and battery just lasted the d... morePerformance
The One X packs Nvidia's Tegra 3 chipset, which has a quad-core processor as well as a low-power core that kicks in when the handset is in standby mode. Overall performance was blazing fast--you won't feel any Android "lag" when using this phone. HTC also claims a fast camera startup of 0.7 seconds and a 0.2 seconds autofocus. The One X seems to perform as claimed, with really snappy shots and quick autofocus.

Using our usual test settings of having two Gmail accounts, Twitter as well as Facebook on push, the One X's 1,800mAh battery lasted us for about a full day. You can probably get more if you're willing to turn off push notifications. However, with the non-removable battery, we recommend keeping a charger handy at the office.

We did not find any issues with voice quality and reception when making calls. While speaker volume was loud, you may want to switch the default ringtones for something with a higher pitch. You may end up missing calls and text alerts otherwise.
              Conclusion
HTC seems to have hit all the right notes with the One X. If you're waiting to upgrade your Android handset--look no further. With a superb camera, fast performance, an excellent display as well as a sexy design, the One X could be the one for you. If you're patient though, you may want to see what Samsung has up it sleeves for its upcoming Samsung Galaxy S III before making a decision. Otherwise you should check out this handset, which deserves our coveted Editors' Choice award.

...nothing said about what kind of battery "tests" were made... I want to know about VIDEO, INTERNET, GAMING, STANDBY... and comparisons with other handsets... but if it lasts a day with moderate (normal use) its okay... i'm used to charge my phone every day/night and it means nothing to me if it lasts 2 days... who cares really...

Quad core is not innovation. These companies that focus on power has absolutely nothing else to offer in terms of something never seen before. Sony and nokia does'nt need quad core to make a difference, they can easily use 100 cores any time the need be. Sony=unique=innovation like xperia sola and s.

My HTC days consisted of poor speakers microphones and poor cameras and choppy video..I do like HTC if they up their component quality..They bring plenty of fun to smartfones like Samsung do with detailed Music players wallpapers etc they think out of the box..I will give the One x some more time for reviews to com in but with locked battery and 32GB its looking more unlikely.

1800 mAh battery for a quad core phone?
1800 mAh battery for 312 ppi?
                      1800 mAh battery for a 4.7" screen?
                      1800 mAh battery won't last a day.
HTC try to increase the battery level.

My old Desire and Desire Z and Touch Pro2 did all have fatal hardware problems, and HTC have problems with screens that die after only a few months use and problem with keeping stable 3g and wifi connections, and HTC have always had problems with batterydrain and short batterylifes and the first review of One X show that it have one of the worst batterylifes ever!

I also think Xperia S will be cheaper than One X.

I just got my One X exclusively, being the few first who have this device. I can tell you that SLCD 2 makes super amoled plus looks very dull. And the camera is way better compared to previous HTC device (I also have droid incredible 2 as a comparison). This phone is perfect. 32 GB storage + 25 GB dropbox is more than enough.
