n0n3, 17 Sep 2013All that juice and only 1800 mAh battery AND Non-removable ... moreThis hurts. I really like my smartphone but I can't replace the battery. HTC is awesome but not perfect. Next time I will look for battery size and replacement. It is very expensive gadget to go to the rubbish bin early. But otherwise this smartphone is the genesis for this new generation.
Powerful superphone needs powerful battery.

Seriously HTC. This is bullshit. Its more than a month of sense 5 release but India is still lagging. I guess I will now sell it off. No point.

My one x start to restart by itself and once it shut down, it get hard to power on back. Most of the time stuck at the "one x" boot screen. Also a few time it got hard-reset by itself after restarting.
                  Version 4.2.2

Eddie, 11 Sep 2013I updated my HTC One X (Nvidia Quad Core - International UK... moreHi @Eddie...

If your problem is low wifi/no wifi signal/reception, then the issue is not caused by the firmware...

It is a well documented problem, that there is a design flaw in the wifi antenna structure...

The pin that connects the wifi mobo contact with the wifi/signal antenna ribbon (on the back panel of the phone) is not spring loaded & does not self adjust its tension against the antenna contact plate...

Over time with phone usage, micro shocks to the chassis (putting the phone down on its back), chassis flexing (when warm & in your pocket), the tension in the contact is decreased resulting in a lack of surface contact between the pin & the antenna contact plate... This is what is causing low/no wifi signal (can also affect call signal strength)...

This can be verified by simply applying light pressure using your fore finger & thumb, to the front & back of the phone simultaneously (don't worry, you won't break anything), basically pinching the phone between the camera pod & the volume rocker...

You will notice that when you apply pressure, you get a perfect wifi signal... Release the pressure & after a second or two, the signal will drop off, confirming the bad contact surface...

There are several ways that you can rectify this, but none of them are easy fixes & will require patience & a steady light hand... a soldering iron & a thin piece of wire around 4 - 5cm in length...

Full instructions & videos demonstrating the repair can be found online (google is your friend here) try searching for "HOx wifi issue" or "one x low wifi signal"...

Btw, HTC have officially confirmed the existence of this issue & have gone as far as releasing instructions on how to correct it, but sadly, not offering to fix the issue for us :(

I hope this helps to prevent you wasting time chasing deadend causes...

Stay Breezy n Be Lucky ;)

I updated my HTC One X (Nvidia Quad Core - International UK Version) to JB 4.2.2 Beside having goodies of Sense 4.0 and JB 4.2.2 I am sad to say that wifi issue still exist. I tried erasing cache partition and factory reset from recovery but no use. At hardware end battery performance slightly improved. Maybe this update was last for this model. I think these issue can not be resolved :(
