If htc wasnt there we all have lacked a lot of innovative new features
For eg build quality wasnt a issue for others before htc one m7
Audio quality was taken seriously by others due to them
Most innovative camera features are due to htc like low light pics zoe which samsung and apple copied
Looks of phone also
Having a beautiful ui
Best screen in the department
For those who think boomsound is just a gimmick
Listen it
It can beat evenmost pf the laptops out there in audio quality
It has a surprisingly rich audio
Even after buying htc speaker quality is must for me as well as for my friends

I think lot of people plays doomsayers to HTC and that may be HTC need some "envelopemental " attitude so that this people would write good/positive things about the company and its products. HTC is not a perfect company and they have a lot of shortcomings when it comes to servicing and their presence is not worldwide.

I would wait until we hear about this phone's battery life before buying it. Other phones with the Mediatek Helio X10 have had poor battery life, which is why Xiaomi rushed out their Redmi Note 3 with a 4000 mAh battery - the Redmi Note 2 had awful battery life - both of these phones have the Helio X10 SOC but the Note 3 has much better battery life. The Redmi Note 2 had a similar size battery to the HTC One X9 - 3060 mAh.
