Sina, 24 May 2011yes i know it. but i like HTC more than samsung. in my opin... moreRespectively Sina your comments then are different the praise shown now. It did showconcern over the test results, and others replied to based on what was WRITTEN then. This comment by Jarrops re the watching videos is bizzare! For this reason & taking into a/c I have never owned an HTC, let alone tested this. All my phones have that facility to watch recorded videos straight away, however from that 'Record Video' function I can then go to 'Gallery' or 'File Manager' and as you will know it can be found there, if there was NO option to view. Turning the phone off does not 'SAVE' the video it's just turning the phone off then on. We rely on the accuracy of comments but mine must be seen like that, Evidence that 'contradicts' an owners findings. So I do find it bizarre.

Day 102, 23 May 2011@ UCS see last line has NOT bought the sensation yet where ... moreyes i know it. but i like HTC more than samsung. in my opinion it's not important that SII can beat Sensation on benchmark or a few faster in hand.
HTC Sense 3.0 is my reason to buy it. also in my opinion this phone is so beautiful!

TMach, 20 May 2011Got mine from Vodafone today as an upgrade for free and bee... moreHmmm! Having now finished playing with my new toy, it is time for a honest appraisal. Definitely an improvement on Desire HD but more evolution than revolution in every sense. I have decided that rather than tie myself into an 18 month contract, I am returning the phone to Vodafone and shall wait for something more exciting. By more exciting, I do not mean SGSII. In truth, I find my Xperia Arc is just as fast as Sensation and the camera on Sensation is not a patch on the Arc! Until there is a significant leap ahead, my Arc and IP4 will keep me amused....p.s. this is not a tech review, not qualified, but my honest opinion based on experience.

There is a strong reason to not buy this phone and its the lack of oleophobic surface.

My friend has had the Sensation since the Vodafone release last week. I have had the Samsung Galaxy SII for about a month now, and have been able to compare phones. I can say I can provide a fairly impartial view as my last 2 phones have been HTCS, the Desire and Desire HD, both of which I loved. I also briefly had an Iphone4, but the less said about that the better. Ok the Sensation looks very similar to the rest of the HTC brand, but feels nice in the hand, and feels like a premium phone. It is also fairly light, and doesnt creak, umlike my HTC Desire HD. It feels like a more premium phone than my Samsung, but the SII is lighter and thinner, and I think looks better, but thats just my own opinion. Ok down to how they perform, well the HTCs UI is great as always, but a tad gimmicky, and I prefer the Samsungs simple interface, and particularly the Kies and active application killer. They are both lightning quick,so nothing in that, although on a few tests the SII was slightly faster when browsing the net.The screens are both great, but again I prefer the SII,as its slightly more vibrant, with better viewing angles. The camera on the SII is definitely better than the HTCS, it is much sharper in terms of still photos, although I haven't been able to try out the video.
On the speed tests, have benchmarked both, and the SII again seems to be way ahead. I know people have said that HTC may improve this, but the Samsung was fast straight out of the box. I think the RAM and perhaps the different processor may just give the SII the edge. My SII has also been glitch free, it hasn't missed a beat since I bought it, the same can't be said for my friends HTC, its crashed a few times in only a few days, so I think it will require an update.
Finally my main problem with all of my HTCs was the battery life. The Samsung is a big improvement over my Desire HD, and would be similar to my Iphone4. Its hard to tell what the Sensation will be like,as its so new,but it did seem to use the juice a bit faster than the SII, but that may improve in time.
Overall, both phones are great, but I feel the SII just has it, but you won't be dissappointed by either phone, and they certainly knock the crown off the Iphone 4 as the best phone on the market.

Im waiting for this phone in UK but on other carriers instead of Vodafone. Only thing that worries me about HTC is that making a good phone ain't their problem. Making a decent battery always seems to be their downfall hence why you hardly find them talking about it too much! oh and that turning off phone to watch video just seems so CRAP its unbelievable!!! lol

i got the phone with vodafone uk,i've been testing it for 3 days.i can say it's a pretty good phone specialy the sense.but it's got also a lot of faults, the main one is when you capture a video you cannot play it back right away you have to switch off the phone and switch on back to be able to see it.very weird fault.and also when you try to watch the video just after the capture, the games icons on the menu become the same as the market icon,it's very weird.the phone needs already updates i think.my partner got the samsung galaxy s2,which is much much better than the htc sorry.

The biggest minuses with this phone: BATTERY (only about 1-2 days till next recharge), INTERNAL MEMORY is too smal (Yeah, i know we will get 8gb card with the phone, but internal memory is much more faster than microsd cards), ENCRYPTED BOOT (it prevents from hacking in to the phone (rooting) to extend battery life, add more features, upgrade to latest android releases, when there are no official updates. Rooting was one of the reasons, why HTC got so popular). Anyway, I think i will get this :)
