@Jennifer, you will not face any issue by unlocking the 4G version, the only difference is the 1700 Mhz frequency included for use in TMOUS, since their 4G (HSPA+) frequency operates under that frequency.
Just make sure your carrier has one of the WCDMA frequencies listed on the specs.

Unless you're living in the US and certain countries, 4G isn't really important because the majority of the world still uses 3G which is what the normal Sensation uses.
