This is extremely powerful, and super fast! I am more than pleased - - - I am astounded and amazed at the 4G network velocity, simplicity, and ease of use. Truly as if holding the power of a SuperNova in the palm of your hand. With this one device I can power the entire city of Cincinnati, Ohio - - easily and with a flick of my finger! You simply cannot expect more from a mobile device this tiny. Three enthusiastic thumbs up! ! ! ! !

Got it after two years with iPhone 3gs. Took some getting used to, but I am really liking it. Some things really bug me about Android, but I am sure that it's only going to get better. I always felt that the iPhone was too dumbed down and lacked a lot of features. This phone has a better screen, better camera plus second camera plus LED flash, better keyboard (for me), ability to handle flash-based content, ability to organize information the way I want, etc., etc. The built-in bluetooth data transfer tool is amazing!

Here are the things I don't like about it so far:
                      1.
You are limited to seven screens. Unbelievable! I don't want this limit.

                      2.
In order to get more icons on to each of the six screens besides the home screen, you can put them in folders on the screen...but the folders cannot be renamed. How retarded is that? Imagine a grid of icons, each with the same graphic and the same label. Surely there is a way to rename the folders? T-mobile says you can't, and I haven't found a way. If anyone knows, please post it here.

                      3.
The seventh screen, or the home screen, only allows six icons. Grrrrrr!

                      4.
The battery life sucks. Mine lasts for half a day. I have bluetooth turned off and I don't use the camera flash. Otherwise I use the phone a lot for surfing the web, MMS, and phone calls.

                      5. Architecture limits it to 32 gb microSD card. With movies, music, books, data, software, etc., it gets eaten up very quickly.

                      6. It's software is designed for right-handers. As a left-handed person, I find it difficult to hold in my left hand and try to reach some of the buttons on the far side of the screen--clearly it has been designed to be held in the right hand. I wish the buttons were closer to the center. This is a small peeve, I can reach the button, it just takes a bit of effort.

                      7. Some of the interface elements could be better designed. In the gmail app, for instance, you really have to dig around to find the button that allows you to move up a level from the inbox so you can get to the other folders. Why can't it be a left swipe or a button on the screen? Same for other operations, such as editing the call log, etc. Far too convoluted, when there are simpler and more obvious ways of doing the same thing. Also, camera app should allow the use of the volume button as the shutter so you can use it like a camera.

                      8. Some of the icon labels suck. They need to be more descriptive. At least include a verb so we know what it does!

                      9. There should be a way of "zeroing out" or recalibrating the tilt sensor so that it can work from any orientation, rather than horizontal only. You cannot play games while lying in bed if they require the phone to be horizontal to start with, and then tilted down (away from you), as you will want the starting position to be vertical or you won't be able to see the screen! Is this not obvious?

                      10. Sync -- somebody tell me how to sync over wifi. And bluetooth. Please!

                      11. There is no easy way to sync with macs. I figured out a few workarounds, but this needs to be much easier.

There are a few more issues, but I am still happy with the phone and this is a good starting point if someone wants to start "improving" android with respect to these issues.

                      Thank you for reading.

In addition to my previous post I would also like to add that, although the Sensation is a very good phone with lots of nice features, it would have been even better if HTC would have included real hands free voice dialing. At the moment it does not. Both my previous phones, Nokia N97 and Motorola ZN5 have it. When I elected to get this phone I just assumed that, since it was the latest and greatest at the time, hands free voice dialing would be included. It's just a small thing compared to the other capabilities of the phone, but that feature would have put the icing on the cake.

I have had my phone just over 2 weeks, and it is my first android phone. After using symbian on a N97 on my previous phone, and a Motorola zine prior to that, I find the android software to be very easy to use. Much better than symbian. The functionality of this phone is also superior to my N97. The 8mp pictures are very sharp and clear. I had previously sworn that I would never use a virtual keyboard, but I find that this keyboard is easier to type on than my N97. Cpu is fast on 4g and web pages load quickly and look well. Phone feels well in my hands and looks sleek to have such a large s screen. Sense allows for easy customization, and provides for intuitive operation of the phone. The phone does so much, you'd think that you'd be tied to the users manual, but not while using sense. Very good UI. Integration of email, texts etc. Is great. Display is vivid except in direct sunlight. Speaker phone could be much louder and battery life could be better. It could have also used a bit more ram, but that does not seem to have a negative effect on the operation of the phone. If I had to buy this phone all over again, I would.

I was perusing T-Mobile's accessories for my new HTC Sensation. Specifically for the adapter used to hook the Sensation up to your TV. The Samsung Galaxy S II comes with the MHL adapter it needs, so I found out TMo offers a Micro USB to HDMI cable for $19.99. I wish I'd known that. I would have included it in my phone upgrade order. Perhaps the TMo stores have them in stock. I'll check that out tomorrow.

This is a rather lenghthy post, but very informative. First, I'm a Blackberry 9780 user and I've LOVED the 3 BB's I've owned. I got a HTC Sensation 4G in June, the day it was released on T-Mobile. After a day with it I sent it back. I experienced problems with bluetooth interference with my Motorola S9-HD headset while using the camera focus, and I could never find the photos I would take with it.
Afterwards I waited for the T-Mobile MyTouch 4G Slide to arrive. I got to play with the MyTouch 4G Slide on Friday, July 22nd, at a T-Mobile store. The MyTouch 4G Slide is very nice, but I don't like the querty keyboard. The keys are too flat and don't give any feedback. Friday night I reordered the Sensation 4G with hopes the initial issues I experienced were from faulty phone. Last night I sent an email to HTC regarding the four small holes in the back over the radio contacts. I want to get a case for the Sensation and noticed some cases had the holes and some don't. I thought they might have something to do with the "Death Grip" issue I've seen in some reviews. This is what HTC had to say about the holes and the death grip issue.
                                    ---------------
Thank you for taking the time to contact HTC, Roy. We will gladly assist you with your inquiry regarding the holes on the back of the HTC Sensation.

These holes are primarily used to vent any heat that may build up inside the phone. These are not used for signal purposes. The contacts you are seeing when you remove the back cover are used to ensure the case is on properly. If these contacts are not making a connection with the corresponding contacts on the inside of the phone, the phone will turn off and remain off until they are connected again.

With regards to cases, you can choose which ever case you like, however, keep in mind with any device sometimes cases can cause issues to arise. They can cause heat to build up in the phone causing battery and reboot issues if they are not properly ventilated. As you know, they can also cause signal issues with any wireless connection, screen issues, etc. depending on the material it is made from, where it covers, and a variety of other factors. HTC does not manufacture or sell these accessories, therefore, we can not recommend a particular brand or type to use with the phone.

It is inevitable that signal strength will weaken a little when the antenna is covered in its entirety by a palm or fingers. We test our phones extensively to ensure that under normal circumstances the reception strength performance will be more than sufficient for the operation of the phone. Some customers have raised concerns with Sensation's signal strength and we are investigating whether the problems described are within normal operating parameters.

There are many ways to avoid getting a weak signal:
1.Try adjusting the position of the phone, sometimes just repositioning the phone in your hand will boost the signal a little.
2.Try allowing for a little more space between the phone and your palm.
3.Try moving to a location with more signal strength. Remember that certain areas may have better cellular/mobile reception than others.

The sound quality of this phone is not the same with Desire HD, Dolby with SRS? I wanted to get this phone but before I do that I want to confirm if this has the same sound quality with HD. If not I'd get the HD bec of the Dolby with SRS.
