Anonymous, 14 Oct 2011Is there any death grip issue found for this phone?I've not heard of any deathgrip issues with this incarnation of the sensation. Engadget recently posted a review of the phone about 1-2 days ago and they stated they could find no deathgrip probes that original sensation users reported. The phone has been available for a few weeks now through various channels and all other tech reviews and customer comments haven't mentioned anything about deathgrip. I've been monitoring this very closely cause I've been due an upgrade for about 1 year. I hate the iPhone, don't like the plasticky feel of the galaxy S2 and the original sensation had said problems. So I've been biding my time... Until now. :)

Can't wait to get this phone. Will be released on o2 in uk in next few days. I'm so happy I didn't upgrade to the original sensation a few months back. (mainly because of the main probs if battery life and deathgrip issues, which have been sorted for this handset) . The sensation XL coming in nov is too much of a disappointment spec wise. The bigger screen and better lens is the only plus point. So XE here I come. Oh yeah, simply love deep black and red design, looks the dogs .... :)

Should i get htc sensation 4g or XE?

This move was probably best of HTC after adopting Android - http://www.htcphones.net/htc-sensation-xe-review-with-beats-audio/. I'm impressed how things are well done with this audio things.
Never was fan of listing while walking, but after tried friend's phone, order immediately fro me. My Incredible S's music was horrible.

As we know that sensation suffered a severe Death Grip issue (worse than iPhone 4 (not only GSM but also Wi Fi & Bluetooth signals)). XE has the same design like Sensation, so there might be a possibilities that it would have the same reception problem (unless they fixed it (specially in horizontal position)). Please confirm anyone.....

Fantastic phone!
Got a question for the owners out there...the Beats Audio doesn't work over the speaker, but will it work for wireless Bluetooth headsets (instead of the plugin ones)?
It looks like the Beats Headset is really the only advantage this one has over the HTC Amaze. Especially since the Beats software will probably be quickly ported to other HTC phones (and probably other Androids, too).
I guess we'll find out Oct. 12 when the Amaze releases. It might end up being better music (XE) vs. better camera (Amaze). Either way, I'm definitely getting one of these two!

It's the same processor as the original but was underclocked for the sensation, but on the xe they have also sorted out the java script issue which makes it twice as fast on sunspider Benchmark.
