HTC Sensation XL starts selling in the UK, £486 can make it yours

01 November, 2011

We just got news that the HTC Sensation XL has started selling in the UK. The Beats audio-packing droid is already available SIM-free, as well as on a contract if you don't mind committing your future to Three.

Off contract the 4.7" HTC Sensation XL costs about £480 including taxes, which makes it one of the most expensive droids on the market. Of course that was to be expected given the Beats headphones that are included in the box and the huge screen. Not to mention the promising 8 megapixel camera with bright F/2.2 lens.

If you can wait another week Amazon UK will offer you the unlocked smartphone for a penny under £450 and you get a similar deal from Three UK.

Alternatively, Three UK will give you a Sensation XL for free as long as you agree to sign a two year contract worth at least £34 per month. That would give you 500 "any time, any network" minutes, 5000 texts and 1GB of network data each month, so it's not too bad a deal either.

You can also opt for one of the more expensive plans (£37 or £40) that Three has to offer with more minutes and unlimited data.
