Not sure how it got updated... :-) if 3G works in my mobile, I will be the happiest person. I spent money on this phone after much investigation, but to our surprise all HTC Tattoo sold in India were not 3G enabled.

I Bet if you try Android you won't want to use any other OS :) its not HTC's fault. Microsoft sucks ;)

              Guys from India

              Hi all,

Today, I have checked my mobile I found this option

Settings >> Wireless Controls >> Mobile Networks >> Network Mode - Here you will find 3 options (Preferred Network mode)

              1) WCDMA Only
              2) GSM Only
              3) GSM / WCDMA Auto

Previously even I was worried that 3G is not there in my mobile. After seeing this option, I think 3G is there in HTC Tattoo in India but not activated.

Now eager to check my mobile with 3G SIM Card with BSNL.

Please check with HTC how to enable the above option
I am not sure how this option came to me, but for my colleague having same phone does not have this option.

Friends...I am using HTC Touch Diamond(2G) for the past 10 months or so...I am terribly disappointed by it's performance.Within a month of purchase started having rebooting problem...got main-board replaced. It was barely 6 months and last week another problem started--the power button would automatically get pressed and this would happen like that till the battery gets drained.Got it fixed at service center..but within a day it started again. It's now again with the service center for observation. This is my 4th visit to the service center now..and don't know how many more are still left before my warranty is gone in the month of the July 2010.I really loved the features but what's the point if there is no reliability...every few months it would lie at the service center for anything between a week to a month.May be it's my particular device and my luck....but still thought of sharing it...if at all needed....Think twice before investing on HTC.

Hello guys you 've posted a lot of questions about how to transfer files via bluetooth. If you try to download from the market the Bluetooth Transfer App it will not work on tattoo. there is only one way to make your bluetooth works. you have to ROOT your device to have full access to it. After that you can install Bluetooth Transfern App and now it should be certainly works!

                                  Hope this helps:)

                                      Battery: Good
                                      Built-in apps: Very Good
                                      Camera: Average
                                      Construction quality: Excellent
Screen sensibility: Very Good (don't blame it because it's resistive, I had a Samsung M1 with a bigger capacitive screen that worked much worse)
                                      Sound (calls): Very Good
Sound (music): Excellent (with a cheap EP630 from eBay)

Negative point: lack for BFTP support

Please note: The Android O.S. is not for everybody - many people are so closed-minded that they don't want to learn new ways of using a phone. Android has many settings and options that leave the competition way behind. Oh and BTW Nagaraj, software for really closing apps exists around. I did have to install some apps in order to find what I wanted.

Conclusion: Worth every cent! Would recommend to my friends.
