The Tattoo kicks some serious rear, seriously. I cant say much about it compared to the Hero, but I can tell you its a really good phone, especially at that price. The interface is easy, fast and smooth as ever.
The battery is extremely reliable despite what you might here. Wi-fi DOES eat the battery alive, but from regular phone usage and standby etc., it does a great job. I talk on my Tattoo everyday and it can go for a day or two on 90%+ once you dont have your wifi on 24/7.
It did have a problem with the resolution of apps and such, but it's been out for a while, so this isnt too much of an issue anymore.
I guess if you have the cash and you can bear seeing a chin poking out of your phone, go for the Hero, but the Tattoo is perfect.

Hi people...i want 2 buy a cheap android phone..i m stuck between HTC tattoo and Samsung i5700 spica.i like the HTC tattoo's android 2.1 and Sense interface.about samsung i like the capacitive touchscreenand 800mhz processor as compared to 528 mhz of tattoo.wich one should i buy???

Hi all.
I hesitate to buy the HTC Tattoo or the Samsung Galaxy..... How shall I make my decision? I was told HTC are very reliable phones. But Tattoo's battery life seems to be short..... Any experience in this regard?? Thanks

But if you are ready to shell off some extra buck then I would suggest you HTC Hero over E72 because Hero is far better when compared to E72, larger display with much better resolution, great processing power, awesome looks, cepacitive touch, great browser, and best of all .. HTC Sence UI on ANDROID. [Best combo ever].
But if you are a type of person who needs to compose very long emails and messages regularly, then I guess E72 with a hardware fully QWERTY keyboard would be good, but that the only advantage in E72.
Tattoo has a Radio which works great and so does E72. Hero - no Radio - but I dont care.
If I were you, Hero would be it.
Tattoo is a younger brother of HERO and it is just as good as Hero functionally.

I have installed FRING on my Tattoo, but when I want to login into skype, I get an endless Subsribing message, and after a period of time, it says it cant subscribe. Am I doing something wrong? I have registered...

Why GSMarena didn't review this phone instead of reviewing low end phones such as NOKIA X3, Nokia 5230, SAMSUNG Corby, Samsung S5560 & Lindy and re-published the review of NOKIA 5800
this is interesting phone with very good price

Anonymous, 06 Feb 2010Guys one quick question: can be upgrade tatto to android OS... moretattoo comes with os version 1.6 and version 2.0 is not available yet. though we should be able to upgrade to the new version once htc comes out with that.
again 1.6 does not support blutooth file transfer while 2.0 does.

doood how right you are about ANDROID OS... will never , ever go back to winmobile, or symbian, its great, and, I predict *as most do( that it will be THE number ON OS in a few years. Also, very important, phones with android os will not be so expensive in relation to nokias symbian, or other similar products (blackberry)...

this phone is brillaint, the applications are just as good as any other htc phone including magic and hero, the only slight downfall for me is the battery isnt that clever but apart from that your good to go, HTC'S ARE THE BEST PHONE INVENTION AND ANDROID IS AWESOME, IF YOU HAVENT YET GOT ONE GET ONE, YOU WILL NEVER GO BACK!!

2. Not sure about voice dialing, but think it does NOT have it. It has speed dial, of course, and you can make shortcuts to persons to dial them with one press of a button.

4. No, but ther are many free apps that can view or edit office files and view pdf.
5. It can sync with outlook, gmail, google calendar, whatever you wish.

Have been using the tattoo for the lat 5 days..everything about the tattoo rocks..HTC sense is simply awesome ..android is simply super fast - one of the best operating systems designed for mobile interface...camera also does quiet well ...browser is simply rocking .... with all these features available at such a low pricing the resistive screen don't bother at all ...also the keyboard input is beautiful designed for simple use ...in all the tattoo is simply rockin .......

this is very good phone .! gettin better camera or other features at this price is easy ! but the os is awsome !!
