I am using this phone for a week.It's main problem is the battery.It must be recharged every day if the phone is used at full throttle.Beside that it is a very good phone...the android is very helpful...not as fast as mac os...but better than any micr.windows 6.1 or 6.5...if you have the opportunity and money,buy it!

I plan to buy this phone because it's affordable for a smartphone!I've heard that tatoo doesn't lag unlike the HERO.Tatoo is faster in comparison with HERO.It's true that the screen si smaller but that makes no odds for me.HTC HERO has 5 megapixel camera but the quality of the photos are similar with the tatoo's.HERO is capacitive but tatoo has optimized resistive touchscreen.There is now xenon/led flash on the HERO so still nothing worthwhile.I prefer HTC tatoo

In India, HTC Tattoo does not have 3G. Please refrain from buying this model if you are looking for 3G Mobile model.
I was shocked to see India model specification from HTC Site.
Don't do same mistake that I did. Please check the specification of any mobile before you buy.

Also, did not miss it myself.
Typing is quite good.
My wife uses an iPhone.
While HTC may not be as good as iPhone, but its not too bad either.
In fact, chatting on gtalk is quite good

So far so good.
Got it for $268 from StarHub in Singapore
12 GB monthly data connection
Installed some helpful applications
1) Astro File Browser
2) SBS Next Bus
3) Finance
4) Gtalk
5) Stitcher Radio
Things I like
Practically everything
* Predictive texting
* HSPA connection speed
* Gmail / Mail interface
Things I dont like
* Camera very poor (but that was not the purpose of buying HTC)
* Initial problem with "https" site. Resolved now. Downloaded another browser (Dolphin). Switched OFF 3G and Switched back ON. Problem gone. Now I have uninstalled Dolphin Browser and am having no problem in the supplied browser.
* Message alerts are pathetic. Its very easy to miss an alert.
* Battery requires charging very often. But its not so much of a problem as it can use normal USB to Mini-USB cable which is easily available. I m using the supplied charger plugged to power point at home and am using my office laptop with my PSP cable to charge at office.
Query :- Do let me know if I can have some file browser that allows to copy in /System/Media/Audio/Notifications folder.
If I can copy any reasonably loud mp3 file here, I will be able to use it for message alerts.
