Anonymous, 09 Jul 2011I don't appreciate the bold text that says this is not a GS... moreWhen that happens, gsmarena will edit their text BUT for now, it is very helpful that they write it so a prospective buyer can know at a glance if he/she is buying the right phone.

I don't appreciate the bold text that says this is not a GSM device. I say this because technically LTE is GSM and this phone does have a sim. If in the future other carriers use LTE on the 700 band this phone should be able to work on their networks, simply by swapping sims (assuming the phone is unlocked of course).

I previously had a LG Vortex & I upgraded to the HTC Thunderbolt & I'm extremly happy I did. I had gotten very frustrated with my old phone but the Thunderbolt has been a DREAM, so much so that I hardlhy ever use my laptop anymore. It's so much easier to use my phone! Also its so nice to ultilize otherwise waisted time in Dr.'s waiting rooms, waiting in lines at resteraunts-the bank-or wherever, sitting in s theater waiting on the movie-play-concert-etc. to start to check my emails, pay bills online, checkin on FB, etc- or whatever I would normally have to wait until I got home to do. The Thunderbolt haqs allowed me to manage my time better away from home so that when I'm home I have more FREE time to spend with my family.

I had the HTC Incredible, and upgraded as soon as this phone came out. Let me say, everything that bothered me with the Incredible and my husband's original Droid has been fixed with this phone. It is blazingly fast. The screen has amazing clarity. The front and back camera is that best idea out there (thank you iPhone for giving us the idea!), no turning the phone around and having to feel for the "capture" button to try and take a self portrait. The little upgrades to the settings, ringing louder when in a pocket or a purse but quieting once the phone has been touched, the self battery saving once it gets below a certain battery, the kickstand, etc.... it's all amazing. There is actually 4g in my area and when I dialed someone and it IMMEDIATELY went through, I was in awe. The attachments to my email and the ringtones download so quickly, much faster than my home internet. Can't wait to use it as a mobile hotspot (free until May 15th! Thank you VZW!) for all my home devices.

Don't get me wrong the only downside is that this thing is a monster in size, but that's what happens when you get this much punch in such a small package. It is basically a tablet. And it's much heavier than my incredible, which took some getting used to while holding it to play on it or talk on the phone. However, I knew this going into it and played with someone's Droid X (same dimensions) to get myself prepared. I am trading the size + weight for so many extras.

And to the guy that said it doesn't support NFL mobile, there won't be any football anyway this year, so your NFL app will be pointless. :) just kidding, I sincerely hope that doesn't happen.

*** If you will buy this smartphone I suggest at: www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004M5HB6U/ref=as_li_ss_tl?ie=UTF8&tag=othersitecomment-20&linkCode=as2&camp=217145&creative=399349&creativeASIN=B004M5HB6U
