Hi everyone!
Can somebody assist me with my Active Sync connection? I installed ActiveSync ver. 4.5 on my desktop but it cannot connect/sync my HTC Touch. It keeps on saying that my device cannot be found. I tried to search the Internet for any possible solution but it still prompts the same error message.
Is there someone out there who can help me fix this? I cannot install any freeware on my HTC Touch with this problem.

I have HTC Touch for a month and it is the best phone by far that i ever had. It's complete.. HTC Touch rocks!!
Can someone help me with the bluetooth connectivity? Can I set the memory card to receive the files i'm transferring instead of the phone memory?

HTC Touch is a Perfect Phone.
While by saying this we reserve some aspects of availability,Price,Design,Software Availability,Battery life,and most Important Sound quality.
Am using HTC touch from last 2 months.
Yes i agree that every first user of window mobile will not find it good, because of some limitations. But when you discover all things in this , you cant change to Symbian or simple Java based phones.
We have large variety for Symbian softwares. But WM 5 OR 6 has huge collection.
Very basic problem for new buyers of touchscreen phone is that they don't feel good to work with stylus. As they can work faster on simple keypad phones.
But if you devote some time to find out few softwares for your ease, you can beat all phones. For example FreeWM Styl software is like Iphone, in which you can do 60% work with your thumb press only. Pocket CM is best for contacts scrolling or finding a particular contacts.
Speed of HTC is good at its price.Secondly many people don't know that slower the processor , minimum the battery drainage. HTC cpu speed is 201Mhz which is quite Decent. You have to install few free softwares to keep your memory free for faster use.

Hi AJ,
I have been using HTC Touch for sometime now and the battery is very good. 2-3 days back-up. I use internet via gprs(edge) 15-20 mins daily.
Half day back-up you are getting is not normal for this phone. Try the following:
1. Switch of WiFi, Bluetooth, GPRS connections when it is not being used.
2. The X button on top only minimzes applications by default. This results in many apps running simultanouesly and uses up battery. Make the X button actually shut down the app. Go to settings, task manager, button tab and tick the box.
3. In advanced power settings enable turn off device, and set the time to 1min.
4. Reduce brightness & backlight time if possible
If all these steps don't solve the problem, there must be a defect with your handset.

I purchased the 128/256MB version just about a month ago. First of all, its still SLOW! If you have more the 4 apps open at the same time, it becomes so frustratingly slow. A friend has the standard 64/128MB version, and I really can't tell the difference. My biggest complain is the so calles "2mp" camera... OMG! This camera SUCKS!!! its so blurry! You can only photograhp objects that are completely still, else all you get is a blurry mess. Needless to say that the low quality video mode is completely useless because you can't record any moving object because all you get is a muddy blurry video.
80% of java games don't work. And those that do, you can't play because this phone only has 1 button!! Save your money for something else. I'm completely dissapointed!

I have the device for about 6 month. The main flaw in my opinion is its memory. It's too small. I've upgraded with new ROM and now have about 50 Mb free. It's difficult to compare it with iPhone as last has none 3rd party soft, like GPS, dictionaries and etc. I won mine for about $60 at http://www.squareauction.com . This site seems suspicious at first glance but I figured out as they have nice system built in and they keep promises. So I got mine.

I have recently purchased HTC touch. Liked it very much but have one serious problem. The battery drains out within half a day. Thats a pathetic thing I could have asked for in such a high profile hand set. I am not sure if this is a standard problem or there is some other associated issue.
PS: I am using internet for 15-20 minutes a day. Can that be an area where the battery charge would have been spent liberally?

My husband gave his handset as gift on aniversary, on third day the screen broke.. I had kept the cell phone in my jeans pant the while I was driving my scooty.... The service center tech said I broke the handset. I tried to explain him its not physical damage, he wont listen, I paid the service charges.... now the phone is with me but I dont use it.... Phone rocks.. support sucks...

I just found out that u cant make the sync. soft to work. The solution is to dwnload the older version of sync. soft from the microsoft site and that one will work. Or if u have like me another cd with the sync. program, i had an spv c 500 and tha soft on the cd i had from that phone is working.
Otherwise this is a perfect phone, really glad that i bought it. Cheers.

Hi Sri
You can send SMS to various people and it's easy. When you're creating a new message, in the " To " box, simply begin typing the name of the intended party and you'll see a dropdown list appear of contacts even before you've finished typing the name and the list changes as you narrow down the possibilities. For eg when you type M, a list appears and then when you add a to the M a further list is presented.
I think it makes life so much easier and of course the Hi Predictive Text is such a joy.
I love my HTC!!!

well i bot htc p3452(touch) a month bac..im facin couple of probs:
1.My fone dusn't ring when i recv any msg...Plz help me out in setting the msg tone
2.I'm able to install active sync on my laptop nut the software is not able to detect my foen..i.e m not able to sync my fone with my laptop
3.This is (i guess) a s/w prob...when i go to contacts and make any call by clicking on a name it is done properly but when i cut the topmost bar still sows contacts(phone) and even after tappin so many times on start button or any other symbol(like battery or tower symbol) i'm not able to access it.I've to press the button on the top(the switch off button) and only then i'm able to access anythin..
Plz help me

Guys, i have a huge question for u: i just bought a hct touch, i like it a lot so far. I just have a serios problem, and maybe some of u can help:
i cant install the sync program, i mean, i can instal it but it doesnt syncronaze :(
i have tried everything and still doesnt work. I read the manual and in the steps of instalation i dont now were to clear th check box with the message: sync. directly with a server using micr. exchange.

In my HTC touch,I am not able to send mulitple or group sms...I want to send two or three sms to different people (the same sms)without come back to the contacts and typing the name over and over,...instead it would better to click on the names at one short and then press send...Or select the whole group and send it across at one short...is there any way we can figure it out in the windows mobile phone..
