The only issue with this phone might be if the processing power wouldn't be enough to support the full VGA resolution of the screen. It seems like a well rounded device in every other respect though. With regard to some of the previous comments: the "no flash mistake" has nothing to do with the device itself, it is a matter of the Operating System (Windows Mobile 6.1). Memory-wise, 4Gb should be more than enough for any type of usage, and even if the phone had a card slot, the largest memory cards readily available at the moment are the same size anyway. The earlier comment about the privacy seems to be irrelevant, since the main risk with content on a cell phone is losing the device itself, not sending it back to the manufacturer for some sort of maintenance.
As far as comparing this device to the iPhone, it is like comparing a modern day laptop with a calculator, the iPhone being the calculator. Unless you are one of the Apple fanboys, willing to put up with all the B/S that is.

What on earth are you talking about.."we'll have to wait to compare it to the Iphone 3g"
I just don't understand why..apple made a great media playing device that had some 3rd rate telephone functionality throw in as a n after thought and everyone runs out to use it as a measuring stick by which to asses other mobile devices...had you given any other proven device and then held off judgement upon hearing a new version was to be released then fair enough..but if their last an done and only so far iphone is anything to go by, then then next one in line shouldn't be used to compare anything but the oldest bit of kit..the iphone (slick interface aside) was old and tired before it even came out (technologically)

to those who are saying 4Gb it more than nedded, i agree.
but not have card slot it is bad if you have a problem! something you dont want anybody to see, in case of mobile goes to HTC simple take off de card, without it some of your deepest secrets will be revealed... :)

I think this little Htc will rock! Can't wait for it to come out, although I'll keep my Viewty next to it for easy movie playback and the camera. I'll ditch the Viewty when the Experia arrives :)

I agree with battery life and memory card issues.... Poor battery life is a real killer.
Orange might have it in June 2008 too, according to a sales person. I saw it on Oragnge's intranet.

Poor design:
- no flash
- weak battery, only 900mAh for a 2.8˝screen not enough
- not a QUAD-phone
The price will be a deciding factor. I am afraid that will be more than 500 USD.

Opera 9.5 is a Windows Mobile application, so you can install it (and anything else you like) on the diamond.. this is what it's like on a smartphone.
